M12S: How to turn rumble level down.

Just received my M12S. How on earth do you turn the rumble down. It's unplayable straight out of the box.

The app doesn't have any option to reduce. Simply on or off options only.

With that said only my Left controller is recognised by the app. It simply won't find the Right one.

Is anyone else having a similar shipping experience?

Maybe they lost the package in a swamp somewhere between Miami and Tampa.

Got the M12S. Works out the box but won't connect to app.

They work out of the box including the home wake up. Not sure about charging when the screen is off.

How do I connect them to the app? I'm following the terrible written instructions and they're not helping. This tutorial is no help either. I've restarted the phone, uninstalled the app, used a different phone, reset the controllers on the back. Nothing is working.

Edit - tried my ipad and still not working. The controllers show up in the Bluetooth pair settings on my old phone but don't connect. I'm going to assume this is an app issue and not a specific controller one. Let me know when one of you guys get them.

Has anyone else received a message like this from support?

Have been fighting to do a return for the past week because of the issues I am having with my left controller, and just got this message this morning. Instead of shipping it back, they instead want me to open up the controller and damage it? I'm just surprised by this is all

Mobapad M12 HD (vs. Nyxi Hyperion 3)

So I got my Hyperion 3s two days ago and was pretty happy with them, although the back buttons are a little soft. And I just use them, not even used the app to update firmware.

The M12 HD came today and frustrated me. No success in connecting them until I updated the firmware and then had to restart the Switch to have them recognized.

First thing I noticed the grips of the Mobapad are too small for my huge hands, that is the one single reason I‘ll keep the Nyxis.

Buttons (especially back buttons) on M12 have a slightly more satisfying click feeling (slightly louder also). (Shorter) glide sticks also win by a small margin, but Nyxi Hall Effects are perfectly fine.

Material looks/feels a little higher quality on Mobapads and the non flush top of the Nyxis trigger my OCD.

Don‘t care about rumble or gyro, didn‘t check.

So for people with smaller hands not caring about button click noise and not concerned about the other problems of the Mobapad should be quite happy with it.

M12 HD

The M12 HD is exactly what I expected from Mobapad — premium feel, great ergonomics, and overall a really solid controller.

But I actually want to focus this review on something more important than the hardware: their customer support.

The M12 HD/M12 S launch wasn’t perfect. There was confusion around naming, feature differences, some charging concerns, and delays that caused frustration in the community. That’s real.

What impressed me is how Mobapad handled it.

Instead of going quiet, their team stayed active. They responded to emails quickly, addressed concerns publicly, pushed updates, and kept communication open for both major and minor issues. You could tell they were working through problems in real time instead of avoiding them.

That matters.

A lot of companies can make a good controller. Not every company shows up when things get messy.

The M12 HD is a quality product, but the support experience honestly gave me more confidence in Mobapad as a brand than the controller itself.

Curious how others’ experiences have been with their support?

M12-HD Dpad manufacturing error?

I switched the Dpad already because after some testing it always made some strange clicking noises on QCF or Quarter-Circle Forward motions (Street Fighter „Hadouken“). It’s not only the strange noise you hear, it also feels like the Dpad gets stuck somewhere in the motion.

I definitely inserted it correctly and it was there with the original Dpad as well. I thought switching it would fix it, but no.

Is it only me or do you have the same issue? I guess no Street Fighter with my Mobapads :(

The case is awesome! Super low profile and sturdy!

Everyone is talking about the controllers! The case is super thin and makes it easier to fit in backpacks and to lug around! The back is sturdy and feels like it could stand up to a fall! The joystick cut outs are sweet as I don’t worry about jacking up the thumb sticks now! I have used multiple cases and this is my favorite as of yet! Although I am mostly digital, so the lack of cartridge storage doesn’t bother me!

Mobapad M12HD docked issue

Hey all,

I tried docking my console and using my Switch 2 pro controller and when on the home screen my controller worked just fine. When I would load into any game my pro controller would disconnect.

Anyone else run into this issue and possibly have a fix for it?

M12 HD Quality Control and Defects (Beware before you buy)

Issue #1 : After updating to 2.0 L Joycon got re-programmed as R joycon. Waiting on support to reply. One reddit user stated they would ship him a label to return them and received a new one in its place. Ive been to Reddit, Mobapad Youtube Channel, and Mobapad Discord. As of now there is no solution.

Issue #2 : The R joycons (Orange) ejection pin has receded like other users and now I need to pry for the joycon to come off. Was literally working fine and after maybe 10 ejects its now having this issue. You can feel how the internals that push out the pin have failed.

Issue #3: The protective case wont close all the way and even then it forces the joy stick to click activating pairing mode.

My biggest disappointment is how much I love these things. The original joy cons make my hands cramp and these just feel perfect, so I was really hoping for a smooth experience.

Update: On chat with support they might have a software solution. The defective pin however needs a complete replacement sent out. I will update if Im able to fix the L joycon bug so were not all panicking. Also please dont come for me im new to posting on reddit and discord lol

Update #2: Support wasnt able to fix the L joycon issue with software flashing. Waiting to hear back from a higher up person.

French (unhappy) customer : please Mobapad team, don't use Colissimo as a local carrier

Just a quick post to rant about the French delivery company Colissimo and to ask the Mobapad team to seriously consider switching carriers for future French customers.

Colissimo is known in France for being the worst delivery company out there, and I never use them because I don't recall ever having a good experience with them.

My order was shipped on May 7th and arrived in Europe 10 days later (on May 17th). It has now been 6 days since the package arrived in France, and for the last 5 days my delivery has been marked as late and stuck at my local sorting facility.

Unlike every other delivery service, Colissimo doesn't give any precise location for your order, so I have no clue where mine is — at this point it might even have been stolen.

I'm still waiting on the case, which hasn't been shipped yet, so I'm asking you to consider using Chronopost or Mondial Relay in the future.

MD12: Ergonomics don't work for me

I won't go over the typical issues people have with the md12, because I mostly don't care about these so much, and they've been covered elsewhere a lot.

What really doesn't work for me with these controllers is the ergonomics (which is why i bought them):

The sides are too straight - they need to be flared out at the bottom.

I think most peoples neutral wrist position is for the wrist to be roughly in line with the forearm, and in order to accommodate this position, the joycons need to be flared out at the bottom more (and beefier). If the joycons sides are straight/not flared out at the bottom this forces you to bend your wrist back, which isn't a neutral position. A youtube reviewer mentioned this too, and i agree with him.

The hori split pad pro were perfect for me.

Maybe I'll try the nyxi, i've heard they're more ergonomic.

On the other hand the joy sticks and buttons feel great, and the packaging was very nice.

Anyone been able to use a combination of the Mobapad M12 HD and Hyperion 3 at the same time in handheld mode?

I have both the Mobapad M12 HD and Hyperion 3 and I was hoping to use the Mobapad for the left Joycon and the Hyperion for the right.

I like that the Mobapad D-Pad is much quieter than the Hyperion's but I prefer the feel of the face buttons of the Hyperion over the Mobapad.

Anyway, I can't get them to work at the same time in handheld mode. The Switch 2 will recognize one but not the other. Don't know if I'm missing something. I feel like I've tried every settings combination and flipped the switch on the back of the Mobapad up and down.

I know this is a very specific use case scenario but if anyone's had any luck getting this combo to work, please let me know.

Finalmente chegaram!

What’s the pros and cons of getting the HD version?

So I’m new to the mobapad and I’ve heard a lot of things some good some bad and I’m just wondering if there’s any reason I shouldn’t get them?

M12S started shipping

Just received my email with the shipping confirmation.
The shipping only mentions the joycons, the charging grips are missing but I already payed for them…

Usability issues

I found another usability issue. The left-side controller is very difficult to remove and requires a lot of force to pull out. After checking, I found that the release pin on the left side is shorter than the one on the right side, which makes the controller difficult to pop out properly.

My M12S just shipped!

M12S buyers, check your emails. Just got mine a few minutes ago.

I ordered a charging grip too but that one isn’t marked as shipped. My guess is because of the free one they are giving away so my current grip order would be refunded (hopefully). Gonna check with support later.
