Leftists should be using AI, I see too much AI hate
Run it locally to minimize the amount of people getting your data or manipulating you, but it is genuinely a helpful tool and if you have a cheap computer you can run great models and tools. Ollama, Calude Code, other agentic IDEs, Invoke for images with an image editor attached
I feel like demonizing AI the tool because it's going to be used by the people in charge to fire workers, cause other various problems in our society, etc is losing the plot
Just be aware that it will have biases, hallucinations, etc. take everything it says with a huge grain of salt and don't be afraid to mess with it sometimes to just see the output, it can be fun

The primary results reflect a political radicalization within the working class and among youth and professional layers who are being hammered by the accelerating economic, social and political crisis of American capitalism. The leftward shift of large sections of the population that resulted in the election of Mamdani last year is continuing and deepening. It is fueled by hatred for Trump and disgust with the Democratic Party’s failure to seriously oppose—indeed, its complicity in—Trump’s fascistic attacks on immigrants and democratic rights, wars of aggression, cuts in social programs, and the plundering of the economy for the benefit of his fellow billionaire oligarchs.
This radicalization in the center of capitalist finance—the city with the largest number of billionaires in the world—has national and international significance. It is accompanied by an upsurge in the struggles of the working class and a growing rebellion against the corporatist trade union bureaucracy. It poses the task of breaking with the Democratic Party, a party of American imperialism and the corporate oligarchy within which the DSA operates as a faction.

To mark the 85th anniversary of Operation Barbarossa—Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union and the start of the most barbaric war of annihilation in history—we are republishing here an article that originally appeared on the World Socialist Web Site on the 80th anniversary.

Eighty years ago, on June 22, 1941, the German military invaded the Soviet Union. A war began the likes of which humanity had never before experienced. The barbarism of the Middle Ages was combined with the most modern technology of the 20th century.
There had previously been horrific wars with millions of victims. The cannons of the First World War had been silenced just 23 years earlier. The blood-soaked fields of Verdun and the Marne, on which the flower of German, French and British youth were mown down by machine guns, were considered a monument of human barbarism.
But the attack on the Soviet Union went much further. From the outset, it was planned as a war of annihilation. It was not only a war for territory, raw materials and markets, but also a war driven by racism and ideology. The destruction of Bolshevism, the extermination of the Jews and the creation of living space in the east, which Hitler had been proclaiming for 20 years, was now put into practice.
