Can anyone give me insight? I want to pull over and see what they posted, but it just seems a little sketchy.
I help with a homeschool coop with young teens. They're good kids. The older ones (16+) have or want jobs. The ones 13-15 would like jobs (that they're allowed to do), or other enrichment activities that don't cost an arm and a leg.
Any suggestions? Ones we know of so far:
One-day events are nice, but there are a lot of one-days between now and next August. It would be great if we could send them out to pick peaches somewhere every day for a couple months! Or a volunteer job on a farm...
They do "Love Modesto", and enjoy spending 1/2 day picking up trash from the river, but that's only a few times a year. They're willing to work if their friends can be along.

She’s thinking of selling hot meals that could be ready to go and kept in a warmer so that we won’t have to deal with cooking at the market. J.M. Pike park was recently updated and is a really nice place to walk and relax! Apparently that’s not enough to keep these assholes from leaving trash everywhere. This is literally 10 steps from two different trash cans.
There are people who come out every Sunday to play/watch soccer here. If you or someone you know sees someone leaving shit like this, please speak up. Our communities are really the only ones who suffer from trashing our own facilities.
