How do you child proof your rocker/glider chair?

As title says, we've gotten 95% of of my daughter's room (9 month old) childproofed as we've moved her to a floor bed after trying to make a crib work for months without success.

The only thing I cannot figure out how to make child safe is our glider chair. She is very mobile for a 9mo (crawling for the last few months, can stand without pulling herself up, climbs stairs like a champ) and I am very worried that she is going to pull herself up on the chair and then fall off.

Right now I join her on her floor bed after midnight when my husband goes to bed because I am so worried about her waking up in the morning before me and getting herself hurt.

The room is small and the glider is necessary as it's where we do all of her feeding, reading and it's put main tool to get her to sleep (rocking).

What have others done to make the chair safe?

Set up and type of bed help

Hi all! I am looking to buy my first floorbed for my nearly 1 year old to enable co sleeping and hopefully to save our sleep. He hasn’t ever slept through the night and is a little boob barnacle waking every hour.

In terms of floorbed, I have some questions i’d love some advice on…

  1. Should I avoid beds with rails? I’d like the option of him napping independently and don’t want him to fall off, but also worried about him hitting his head on them

  2. If I go for one with rails, do I still need to position it in the centre of the room away from all walls?

  3. Does it make a difference where the opening is on a bed with rails? What’s safest, and is it a pain to get out of as a co sleeping mum.

  4. Should I opt for a UK double size bed, or would a single or small double be enough room for feeding to sleep/cosleeping/ eventually sneaking out (fingers crossed!!)

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before, feel free to point me in the right direction. There is just so much to consider and the cost is a lot.

Cheers!

Kitchen Set-up for 1 year old

Hello! Looking for some inspiration. I have a very curious and mobile one year old who recently started walking. He picks up on routines pretty quickly and recently started walking over to his chair when it is time to eat. I bought a kitchen tower that arrives this week (yay!!) but would love ideas on how to make his dishes/ bottles / cups more accessible. Do folks have ideas on how best to display or organize these? My kitchen is small and I unfortunately do not have a low drawer that will work for this purpose. I’ve gone down an ikea rabbit hole but just keep getting overwhelmed. Would love thoughts and ideas - including other ways to keep a young toddler engaged in the kitchen. Thank you!
