Just the first match from my recent rips arena set on stream. Managed to win 3 1 in the end. If interested you can watch the rest here. Was pretty nervous and dropped a few things here and there later in the set. That always seems to be the case on stream though. Got my morph combo at least.

So i was trying to do a Johnny combo but I cant do the J2 on it, any tips for new players?
The combo is 212, J2, 212, Dash, FB32, BF4
It seems i cant J2 idk why, maybe im too slow or theres any tricks behind it?

Character recommendation in MK1
Hey, just picked up MK1 yesterday and it's my first mortal Kombat game. I'm not sure how many of y'all play other fighting games because the MK community seems pretty disconnected from the broader fgc imo. I play some other fighting games like SF6, GG, and Tekken and I'm looking for characters similar to the ones I play in those games. My SF6 main is Cammy, Jam is my GG main. In Tekken I play Xiaoyu and Kunimitsu. I primarily prefer fast close range characters who can get in your face and stay in your face, or fast mid range characters with great pokes that can be converted into combos.
I tried out Mileena but her combos seem super execution heavy, I tried Kitana and I'm doing better as her being able to convert pokes into combos but apparently she's a zoner and I've been playing her as an mid range poke into combo character.
Unrelated, but is there a way to skip the Finish Him part of MK in ranked? I'd like to skip that and/or the fatality part, fatal blows themselves take way too long imo (same problem I have with sf6 supers) and adding fatality on top of that is just a huge time kill when I'd rather just move on to the next match.

I have been doing random select for my kameo here lately and landed on Sonya.
Wanted to lab some Sektor , it’s unfortunate most Sektor players don’t do combos much. She actually has a bit of combo potential and they’re pretty cool looking.
Got back into mk1 after not playing for couple of years, I really love his design and specials. I usually try to open up people with B12 - b31 on oki and then simple stuff like b31 - b31 -2-df2. I can't really do anything fancier and fail to use kameo effectively. Also i fail special canceling 4

Hey everyone! I ran into a problem while doing Floyd’s quests to unlock the arena. I complete the required tasks, but most of them just don’t register, even though I’m following the instructions exactly. In this video, I was doing the quest where you need to land 13 sweeps in MK1 and win the match. I did it several times, but it still didn’t count. What could be causing this? I’m doing it in a match with a second controller.
First match back I’m put against Cyrax 😂I still got it 🔥I’m washed with my main now tho (shao)
I can definitely do higher damage with different mix ups but I really like this one. Unfortunately, the damage/hit count ratio isn't good enough for me in a real match
