OPPO find X9 Pro suport?

Hey guys I saw 6 months ago people wondering how suport for the app was and it was very poor, I was wondering if this was fixed, or even if there is another app like this that allows us to truly utilize the sensor to its full capacity without those AI intrusions that OPPO does on every single photo (looks like raws as well get processed doesn't make sense)

Help a new guy out will ya

Hey everyone, complete beginner here. I recently started experimenting with Motion Cam Pro (trial version) on my CMF Phone 1 running Android 16 and I have been running into a bunch of issues. Would really appreciate some guidance from people who actually know what they are doing.

First problem I ran into was exports not working at all. Every exported file was showing 0 bytes and my phone said the file format was not supported. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and nothing changed. Eventually it somehow fixed itself on its own. But after a few recordings and experimenting with LOG footage settings, the RAW video exports started throwing the same error again. So the fix was clearly not permanent.

Second issue is that I am on the trial version and trying to shoot in LOG for color grading. When I set it to HEVC 10-bit with Sony S-Log3 at 100 Mbps and 3840x2880 resolution, I get a CPU throttled warning followed by a recording error telling me to set a new recording configuration. I am guessing either my phone cannot handle these settings or S-Log3 with 10-bit is locked behind the Pro version on the trial.

The only codec that works without errors on the trial is ProRes Compatible 10-bit 4:2:2, but it heats up my phone almost instantly so that is not really a usable option for me.

A few questions:

  1. Is S-Log3 with HEVC 10-bit a Pro only feature or is my phone just not powerful enough for those settings?

  2. What settings would you actually recommend for a beginner on a mid range Android using the trial?

  3. Is the recurring RAW export issue a known bug, and is there a proper fix for it?

Motioncam Pro Trail Challenge | Motorola Signature | RAW video

@MCpro users I really need your support for this Motioncam Pro Trail Challenge. I took RAW video from my Motorola Signature and color graded in davinci resolve. Actually made a HDR version of this video which looks really nice but not getting hdr tag on YouTube so made the SDR version. Please have a look at it in YouTube and like it if you enjoy it. Thanks.

Have an Exynos device? Tried the app and saw the FPS tank below target? Feeling cursed by Tim Cook himself? Well, you're in luck! An ADB workaround was found!!

Rainy day. Motioncam really helps when I'm without camera

Directlog video, with lut to rec709 burned in. Light contrast improvement, no color adjustment. Nothing phone 3.

Significant performance improvements for Direct Log mode have been achieved - Expect major performance gains (See below, Pixel 10 Pro at 4K 60fps 10-bit Direct Log mode!!)

An MKBHD Endorsement!! Marques Brownlee has officially recommended MotionCam Pro to fight overprocessed smartphone cameras in his latest video!!!

This is a huge moment for the app and the community! The app has not only improved, but grown to such a point that even a massive figure like Marques not only acknowledged its existence, but outright suggested it as an option!! All in due time before the V5 launch!!!

I'm proud to film and photograph alongside y'all!! 😃 The RAWvolution is growing and cannot be stopped, lol

All out DCG RAW video quality? Samsung S26 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra, or Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a cinematography tool that will net me the best DCG RAW performance at the moment. I've been shooting with an old Pixel 8 Pro with the Blackmagic Camera App --- it's a great little setup but I've been itching for an upgrade and access to RAW, preferably DCG RAW. I want to spend my money wisely.

Between the three aforementioned flagships it would seem the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has the biggest main sensor and Motioncam Pro can access DCG RAW on the device. As far as I can tell, both the S26 Ultra and Oppo X9 Ultra aren't able to do DCG RAW within Motioncam Pro just yet.

I'd be inclined to go with the Xiaomi and call it a day, but the cage/rigging ecosystem doesn't seem to be very well developed. Case in point, I'm very interested in Tilta's Khronos ecosystem, which has options for both the Oppo and the Samsung but nothing for the Xiaomi.

Should I forgo the more mature rigging ecosystem of the Samsung and Oppo in favor of the guaranteed DCG RAW capabilities of the Xiaomi?

How to change photo (!) resolution

I'm just trying out this app for the first time (cause it was recommended in the latest MKBHD video, congrats!) and I would mainly use it to take photos but I can't for the life of me find any setting that changes the resolution. By default it takes 12 MP pictures which is way below the capabilities of my Pixel 8 Pro.

I can see the settings for changing the viewfinder resolution and in video mode it also seems to be easier with tons of tutorials explaining how to do it but I can't find anything about photo mode. Is it just locked to 12 MP?
