Fantasy/Romantasy Book Club

Hi,

My name is Danielle and I am looking to start a fantasy/fantasy romance book club here in Mount Vernon. I’ve reached out to a few locations to start hunting down a meeting space incase there is interest. Just moved here within the last year and I would love to meet some new people who also have a passion for reading. I was successful in starting a fantastic book club in Everett prior to moving here and I am missing all of the good book talk and connections.

Details: hoping for Saturday mornings from either 10-12 or 11-1 depending on space availability. Open to having multiple meetings per month incase you can’t make one. My last book club had a set 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, but again, open to suggestions and depending on space availability.

Types of books: My favorite genres are fantasy and fantasy romance. However, i’m truly open to reading a variety of books and expanding out of my comfort zones.

Age: I’d like to keep this 18+ ideally but don’t want to exclude anyone who might find enjoyment in something like this.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested or if you have any other suggestions on how I could make this work!

Bridge closure and West MV businesses

I was invited to an event at Katt's which got me thinking...

Does anyone know if the City or WSDOT are offering any kind of aid to the businesses in West MV? Or are they all left to survive for a whole year with significantly decreased revenue?

I suppose DT will also see a bit, but the circumstances are very different and I'd guess that would be negligible by comparison.
