Hey guys, I was fishing out in a river in the mountains of Alberta Canada yesterday. I was seeing human tracks and big dog tracks then the odd very big 4 padded wide footprint with no claws. Didn’t think much of it because everyone claims they see cougar tracks but it never is. I ended up going downstream and came across a patch of thick willows I need to pass through to fish a pool. I took a few steps and heard a growl, didn’t realize it until I took another step. I then froze, and looked up to a big kitty standing up and growling at me from about 10 yards away. After sh***Ing my pants and getting my bear spray ready I left the area. I was thinking about going back because the river has such good fishing and I want a picture of the tracks/maybe check out where he was but I was wondering if you guys knew how territorial they are or if he’d be back in the same place like it’s his bed.

Karla Menjivar and her dad, Mario Menjivar, heard their dogs barking like crazy and brought the dogs in. The dogs are fine. This morning, when they went into the backyard, they noticed some of their bushes were knocked over and discovered a mountain lion up their tree. The authorities were called. The mountain lion is safe in the tree, and they're keeping an eye on it. This happened on Windy Drive in Newbury Park, California.
It sounds like a bird chirping, but video was taken in my driveway at 1:26 AM. Turn up volume. Thanks.
