If this was you….

I hope you step on legos or a nail today. LOL

I had ordered a spare Pavo Pro II to add to my fleet as a backup. Someone swapped the drone for just frame pieces.

I don’t know if it’s just me… I’ve had a string of incidents that when I’ve order something from Amazon, I receive a used item instead of new. So now any high valued orders, I record as I’m opening. Good thing! Right away, I noticed that the box was not wrapped in plastic. The top of the box also had sticker residue, most likely a return sticker or something. Box was kind of crushed too.

Contacted Amazon and sent them the video of the unboxing/opening. Gave me a full refund, but now I have to wait for another drone. Just going to order direct from BetaFPV. I think the meteor 75 II might slip into the cart…

Want to build a drone with a custom FC using libraries for off the shelf microcontrollers or dev boards

I have already built a diy drone with ESP32-C3-Zero as FC using FLIX (https://github.com/okalachev/flix/tree/master). But now I want to build another one.

Thing is that I now do not want to build a drone using ESP32 to decrease my reliance on chinese chips. So are there any other flight controller libraries like FLIX for Arduino, Raspberry, STM32 or other microcontrollers?

thanks

From NEO to Flywoo ?

Hello all, I have a DJI NEO, Goggles3 and the DJI FPV controller.

Im not even a good pilot, but Neo is too slow. And I want to learn to fly well and for real.

I'm planning to buy a Flywoo Explorer or any kind of reputable "affordable" fast and long range cruiser drone that is sub250.

Flywoo, BetaFpv, NewbeeDrone all good with me if you have any suggestions ?

And what else I need to buy ? I do have an Hota charger too. What batteries to use ?

Thank you !

Custom FPV “cyberdeck”Controller

This is an FPV controller I made using the internals from an EV800D and a BETAFPV LiteRadio 2 SE ELRS radio inspired by Hoarder Sam’s design.

Made for flying tiny whoops in public without breaking line of sight laws, and without having to awkwardly sit on benches with goggles on.

edit:

here is the MakerWorld project for those curious. The build requires a soldering iron and a multimeter, and can be a little tricky to solder if inexperienced. The MakerWorld post explains the process and links to a useful video.

Help with binding

Sorry if this is super basic I'm just getting back into the hobby and can't remember how to connect crossfire

TBS Lucid AIO 1-2s so it's built in crsf. Im having trouble getting it to talk to the radio. I think I have the config settings right but I might be wrong. I pressed the bind button on the board but nothing seemed to happen. Is it the receiver mode?

Looking for drone pilots (with Docker/K8s experience) to beta test a live MAVLink tracking proxy I built! 🚁💻

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a live drone tracking project and I'm currently looking for some beta testers and potential partners to help me improve it.

**What I built:** I created a lightweight proxy designed for live drone tracking. Essentially, you send your drone's MAVLink telemetry to this proxy, and it seamlessly relays the data packages to my website for real-time tracking on a map.

You can check out the current state of the site here:[https://www.ollebo.com\](https://www.ollebo.com)\*(Click on the "Live" menu to see where the tracking happens).*

**Who I'm looking for:** I need a few tech-savvy drone pilots to help me test the pipeline. Because of how the proxy is currently deployed, you will need at least a basic understanding of **Docker** or **Kubernetes (K8s)** to get it up and running on your end.

**What's next:** I’m actively building out the site right now, so any feedback on the proxy, the latency, or the web interface would be hugely appreciated. If you are interested in partnering up to develop this further, I’d love to chat about that too!

If you have a drone, know your way around containers, and want to help test a cool MAVLink project, please drop a comment below or send me a DM!

Thanks!

DJI Air 4 boxes are ready to be sold

Can you please AI upscale the texts so Air 4 specs are readable?

Is this a suitable frame+ powertrain for my college final-year drone project?

I'm working on a college final-year project involving a custom-built quadcopter. The initial goal is to use the drone as a data-collection platform, and later integrate different sensing systems depending on the application.

The drone will mainly be used for autonomous/controlled flights where it will collect data using cameras and other sensors. The eventual goal is to add sensing capabilities for things such as environmental/agricultural monitoring and other data-collection applications.

As for the Build:

Frame: Tarot 650(not bought yet)

Motors: Readytosky 3115 900KV

Battery: 6S 10000mAh (1kg)

Props: 10" 5x3(triblade)

ESC: ReadytoSky 80A

We already have most of the components only the frame needs to be bought.

Will this frame be enough to handle this build (especially battery weight) or suggest any frame that can handle these????

We know this is overkill for the project but we are now pockets deep cant do anything atp(plz suggest if you have any idea).
And sorry if my english is bad
