Meridian Stays Andheri
Sharing experience with what seems to be an unnecessarily popular and over expensive pg service run in Andheri by this service called Meridian Stays. Stayed with them for a month on two separate occasions in two different properties. The first time, the property did not match the description they gave me. I paid for triple sharing room with attached washroom and got a triple sharing accommodation without a washroom. Only found out after paying in full and then moving in and which I reached out to them, they ghosted me till the end of the month when I had to vacate.
They charge above the standard rates (as compared to other agents/brokers in the same properties). Not only that, they charge an exuberant maintenance fee per person (8k) even for a month’s stay with nothing to show for. The rooms are cleaned casually a few times a week, the washrooms, kitchen and even the beds are infested with cockroaches.
Even in flats with 9 people, per person electricity is often 1.5-2k per person. Thats 18k for the flat with almost all residents working at least 8 hours in office. Clearly their meter is rigged and they are reaping profits from that.
Once they receive the full payment, they hardly ever respond until the due date or the date of vacation. Their payments number is mostly switched off, and when it isn’t, they do not pick up unless you call from a new number. Post vacating their property, they go MIA against with respect to refund if deposit, and when they do send it (after a week’s delay at least), they arbitrarily deduct electricity charge (even when they make you pay it to an existing roommate in advance). To refund that would take you another week or two.
After ruling out the first time as one off incident, and because I was on a time-crunch, I tried my luck again and realised it was not my luck that was at fault.
