Oil scum on my Mushroom Coffee

Can anyone tell me why, when I brew mushroom coffee a film sometimes forms on top of it?
And it tastes awful too.

I'm just tired of this, if anyone has any advice at all, I'd love to hear it. Once all that froth disappears a scum appears on the coffee, it tastes very much like metal, so I'm hoping for your advice

Cutting back on caffeine

Over the past 2 months, I've gone from drinking 3-5 Monsters to just one, and I want to keep cutting back, I just saw an ad about mushroom coffee, I'd heard of it before and now I figured out it contains mushrooms and L-theanine, which counteracts the effects of caffeine,

The ad I saw said there's only 45 mg of caffeine per serv, so in theory, it should work

Does anyone have any thoughts on effect and how to use it?
