My EDM vocal chain in under 60 secs (it’s surprisingly simple 👀)

Guys, pretty much every producer I work with these days prefers my wet stems over my dry ones due to the processing they hear on it, and it’s actually a very simple chain I use 😆 the trick is, to make sure you record in a well treated environment. Start with the best possible source, and you’re almost halfway there 🙌 if you can keep it as simple as you can - then do so!

Ghost production

Ever since my first hardstyle rave I fell in love. And now I’m just always thinking about making hardstyle and playing on a stage. Like a dream, like how people dream to play soccer, sports, music and everything. And I actually don’t know if making and producing hardstyle is meant for me. The reason why I say I don’t know if it’s meant for me is cause I literally have no idea what to do. I have fl studio and mess around with plugins and stuff. But just have no idea what to do now.

I was thinking of having a ghost producer and I build the image and marketing. But what actually goes into getting a ghost producer and everything about it. How much it costs? Where can I actually find a ghost producer. And in general how hard is it to actually “make it” in the hardstyle industry.

First two days with the UDO Super Gemini 🌬️

A bunch of random little clips from my first couple of days with the Super Gemini. Safe to say I’m in love with this beautiful instrument. 😅
My main instrument is electric guitar and this is definitely the first synth I’ve ever had that comes close to the level of expression and personality you can get in your guitar playing. With guitar and other string instruments you get so much feeling into your playing through having that direct connection to the strings with your fingers. The polyphonic aftertouch on this keyboard gives me that feeling of vibrato ect. I think once you’ve experienced polyphonic aftertouch you can’t go back haha

Which distributor is best for producers?

Music distribution platforms come in all sizes and shapes. Some will steal your music, some will steal your earnings, some even get bribed and call them system bugs. Some are overpriced. What are the best high fidelity distributors in the game right now?

Music Production lessons

I’m looking for someone who’s willing to give up 10-15 hrs of their week to give me some lessons on how to officially produce electronic music as well as mix and master it. I’m just in a weird spot right now. I’ve been living in new york for about 6 years now with on and off working on production. I just haven’t been able to put all my time and energy into it as much as i’d like too. I’m also really bad at teaching myself. just haven’t discipline and consistency issues, as well as being impatient gives a bad combo for this. Anyways looking for a reliable safe source. Lmk if anyone has any suggestions. And not youtube lmao unless you know of a playlist of videos that’ll literally get me through it on my own. For reference i’m using Logic Pro X right now.

Looking for a mixing/mastering engineer for 5 alt-pop demos

Hey everyone! I'm an independent artist/producer with five pop song demos that I'd like to take to a more professional level.

I'm looking for someone who has experience with mixing/mastering pop vocals and production. I'm also open to working with someone who is still building their portfolio, especially if you're a student or recent graduate.

I'd be happy to send over the demos so you can get a feel for the music.

If you're interested, or know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to DM me!

Thanks!

The UDO super Gemini has exceeded all my expectations.

I’d been eyeing off this synth for over a year, I was living in my home country Australia with a plan to move to Germany to continue pursuing my music so rather than buy it in Australia and have fly with it I decided to wait until I moved to Germany. That gave me a lot of time to research the synth and so I felt I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting. Now having the synth I’m floored by this thing! I’ve had the prophet 6 and Moog Voyager among others and no synth I’ve ever experienced has come close to the quality of this thing. It’s also incredibly deep whilst being incredibly intuitive, free flowing and immediate. The thing that I loved so much about this synth when I first heard about it was that it has no screen and all the knobs/sliders ect were on the front panel. No menu diving no feeling more like a computer you program rather than an instrument you play. As a guitarist primarily the thing I love about electric guitar is how incredibly expressive it is and this synth is by far the most organic and expressive synth I’ve ever played! This synth has to be played to be truly experienced, George Hearn and the UDO team and doing great things and it feels so good see an instrument that takes so much of what I’ve loved about vintage synths but is pushing it forward to new heights.

I built a platform so you can find movies to score

I built Motif, a platform so that directors and composers can find collaborators directly without Facebook groups, cold DMs, LinkedIn, hoping the right person sees your post. You can put your genre style, links to socials, and links to your songs directly on your profile. Try out the beta version here: https://motif.bolt.host/

(Mobile version placement is a bit odd-- recommend you use desktop orientation)

Best way to hire Ableton producers?

Hi everyone,

I have a House track that currently exists as a demo/reference track. I really like the song and would love to bring it into Ableton and turn it into something properly produced.

Ideally, I’d like to work with someone who has experience producing polished House music. I’m hoping to improve the arrangement and sound design, get the mix sounding professional, and hopefully learn a few things along the way.

For the experienced Ableton producers here: where would you recommend looking for someone like this? And roughly what should I expect to pay?

Also, is this the kind of project producers generally enjoy working on, or is there a better way I should be approaching it?

Thanks! I appreciate any advice.

UAD Volume Controller with media keys

Hey,
I am creating a UAD Console add on software to control the volume of the app with the regular media knobs (for Mac only) so F10, F11, F12.
Also you’ll be able to map your own shortcuts (mute, dim, solo, talkback, track mute)
It will be free :)
Would someone be willing to beta test for me?
Thanks everyone!

Looking For Help In Starting a Michigan Based Record Label

I’m looking to start a record label based out of Detroit, Michigan. We will be looking for acts from all musical genres. The goal of the label is to show and be the hub for Michigan art and creativity. I believe the state is very underrated in terms of the entertainment we put out and I’m looking to expand that reach. Looking for anyone to help achieve this vision. That could be anyone from artists, marketers, photographers, videographers, audio engineers, and producers. Just anyone with any experience, follower count or years of experience doesn’t matter. Looking to grow together and start a movement for the state as a whole. Serious inquiries only!!! Right now I’m mainly looking for a frame of the company so production and marketing is key right now, if you’re serious you can contact me @chicogordy on instagram
