My EDM vocal chain in under 60 secs (it’s surprisingly simple 👀)

Guys, pretty much every producer I work with these days prefers my wet stems over my dry ones due to the processing they hear on it, and it’s actually a very simple chain I use 😆 the trick is, to make sure you record in a well treated environment. Start with the best possible source, and you’re almost halfway there 🙌 if you can keep it as simple as you can - then do so!

I built a vocal to midi tool. Upload a full mix, you can get accurate vocal-melody MIDI.

Hi everyone,

I built www.vocal2melody.com, a web tool that turns a complete audio into a MIDI file.

It's a tool only for melody.

You can upload a regular mixed song—no isolated vocals, stems, or individual instrument tracks required. The tool identifies the most prominent melodic line and exports it as a MIDI file that you can edit in your DAW.

It can be useful for:

  • Recreating a vocal or instrumental melody
  • Bringing a melody into your DAW
  • Making arrangements, remixes, or covers
  • Studying or transcribing a song

One important clarification: this is not a multi-track or multi-instrument transcription tool. It produces a single MIDI track representing the main melody—the part you would normally sing, hum, or play as the lead.

Try it here: www.vocal2melody.com

No software installation is required. Just upload your audio, let it process, and download the MIDI.

Questions and feedback are always welcome. I’d also be interested to hear what you use the generated MIDI for.

Need help w Jungle Terror leads

Can anyone help me figure how to make weird Jungle terror leads like Wiwek/ Old Barong family style. There are not a lot of producers making this genre and very few good tutorials on YT. I'm not sure if these leads are purely sample based or synthesized using Serum or similar plugins.

Made my mixing/mastering feedback app run fully offline — no more sending your mix anywhere

I've been building MixDoctor, an app that gives plain-English feedback on your mixes (not just graphs and numbers — actual "here's what's off and why" type notes).

Just shipped an update that runs the whole analysis on-device for anyone on iOS/macOS 26+ using Apple's new local model framework. Your audio never leaves your phone or Mac — no upload, no round trip, and it's noticeably faster since there's no network call happening.

If you're not on 26 yet, nothing changes for you — it still runs the way it always has.

Been slowly chipping away at this as a solo dev since January, and this felt like a genuinely useful one rather than just a version bump. Curious if privacy/offline stuff like this actually matters to people here, or if it's more of a "nice to have" — trying to figure out what to prioritize next.

Help me guys!!!!

Hi, I need help from a music producer who can help me recreate or figure out the notes from this audio file. I’ve already tried doing it by ear, but I just can’t seem to get it right. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The first ten seconds of the audio are enough.

FormKey A New Way to Think About Music

FormKey

Hey everyone. 👋🏽 Just recently released our app FormKey, and I just want to share it with you all. Long story short I created a new music language called Form that anyone can learn to read and play in a few minutes. It retains all the complexity of formal composition while being quicker to learn. FormKey is built around that language.

Essentially my thinking was what if an MPC could turn you into Quincy Jones? It comes with 3 main modes: Learning, Create, & Control. Learning teaches you the system and let's you practice playing classical pieces. Create is a 16 track sequencer that hosts AUv3 plugins with Form as the main notation display. Lastly, Control gives you a classic MIDI controller for your external devices. It comes with 2 AUv3 Plugins, a unique subtractive synth and sampler. It also has 27 Scales you can set the note grid to.

It's completely free to try and Control and the scale modes are essentially free. It's $14.99 if you want all of the sheet music in learning and the ability to save your projects in create but all future updates are no extra cost for the life of the app.

You can find the app here: FormKey on the AppStore and you can find us along with a bunch of info here: FormKey Official Website I hope you'll give it a try and let me know what you think. If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.

Looking for an engineer that builds me a custom vocal chain

Hey UAD community :-)

I've been into voice overs and moderation for a while now and my beloved family got me an apollo twin and a Warm Audio WA87 R2 Mic for my birthday.

I've been struggling getting into building a proper vocal chain basically because I'm new into learning it. I will continue getting more into it, but I have to record a demo to get a chance to get a spot at my local radio station for a year long internship + getting taken over.

I agreed with an engineer but he charged me money and ghosted me :( I now have like 3 days to get a vocal chain done within, so I can record demos and work on my voice in general.

I would prefer having the entire vocal chain within the console, looking for a very crispy, compressed powerful vocal chain. I got the UAD Spark subscription and some additional plugins, but I am honest that I'm not able to handle them yet.

I am looking for an engineer that could help me build a vocal chain and I would have no issues spending my last dollars on it since I am really crushed right now.

I would provide you an unedited recorded vocal of mine.

Is there anyone who would be able to help me? I know it's a pretty big thing to ask for but I am scared of missing the opportunity :(

If there is anyone who could help me, it would mean the world to me!

Thank you in advance,

Terry <3

How much would it cost to have a producer make an instrumental for my song?

I’m writing my own song and I already have the lyrics and vocal melody. I basically just need a producer to turn it into a full instrumental/production — arrangement, guitars, bass, drums, effects, etc. I’ll record the vocals myself at home, so I mainly need the finished instrumental.

I’m going for a Filipino indie/pop-rock sound, something in the style/vibe of IV of Spades, especially songs like “Hayy” and “Konsensya.”

For anyone who has hired a producer for something similar, how much would you say is a reasonable price? Does it usually depend on how complex the production is?

I’m trying to figure out what kind of budget I should prepare. Thanks!
