MLA Program Question

For anyone in or who has taken the MLA program, what kind of shoes and clothing were required for labs? I’ve been looking at these waterproof shoes from Vessi and was wondering if those would be considered lab approved based on the requirements from the welcome letter I received a while ago.

Any recommendations and help is appreciated.

STAT2201

Hey guys,

Does anyone have any advice how to get through this course, I’m not a math person at all and i’m very anxious about passing.

My anxiety mainly comes from how the exams are going to be and the oral exam afterwards since the exams are worth the majority of the grade. I’ve been trying to keep up with the assignments and practice in Excel, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed by how fast the material moves and I end up second guessing myself even on things I understood before.

For those who took STAT2201,

How hard was the actual exams compared to the connect assignments/practices?

Was the oral exam stressful or was it more straightforward?

Did anyone else struggle with math before taking this course?

Thank you in advance!

Should I finish my 1-year Millwright course in Ontario or move to Alberta and take a shorter course?

Hey everyone, I need some advice. I’m 19 years old and currently in Ontario. Me and my mom are planning to move to Edmonton, Alberta for a fresh start, and I’m trying to figure out the best path for my career as a millwright.

I have two options and I’m not sure which one makes more sense:

Option 1: Stay in Ontario, complete the 1-year Mechanical Techniques - Industrial Millwright program at Conestoga College (covers Levels 1 and 2 of the millwright apprenticeship), then move to Edmonton and look for work or an apprenticeship with the certificate.

Option 2: Move to Edmonton now, take the NAIT Millwright Fundamentals short course, and try to find work or an apprenticeship right away.

I have some hands on experience already and my goal is to balance getting working as soon as possible while also setting myself up for a good long term career as a millwright.

For those of you in the trades, especially in Alberta would employers in Edmonton take the Conestoga certificate seriously? Is it hard to find millwright work in Edmonton without a full apprenticeship?

For MLA, I was put on waitlist for winter 2027. If I were to be removed from the waitlist, let’s say July or August right… there is a pre req in that program of ANATPH and Medical Terminology. I have not done it yet, since it says I have to do it if I were to be accepted. The latest I can do this is June 1 for the October deadline for winter. so do I still do the classes? or the chances of getting off the wait list is low?
