Did the Celtics sell badly short in the Jaylen Brown trade to the Sixers?
Did the Celtics front office and Brad Stevens sell badly short in trading Jaylen Brown to the Sixers and only getting Paul George and draft picks in return, when VJ Edgecombe was the main piece they wanted from Philly in the deal, and they could've waited longer to make any deal especially since reports say Jaylen Brown never actually demanded a trade?
Tatum led 26-27 Season
In my search for optimism, I finally decided to think about this. Maybe Celtics leaders looked at last season and thought, if brown could lead this team to 50+ wins. Why couldn’t a healthy Tatum (who is regarded as the better player) also have Boston as a 50 win team? Last year I posted in here saying Boston could be a playoff team(not play in) and once again I think this team can be 4/5 if JT plays 70 games.
This is a fun lil trade whats yall thoughts on this one.
Crazy
You know what’s funny about trades-us people who are fans, who aren’t “in-the-know” propose trades thinking what one or both of the teams want. But we have no idea, a lot of the times, where the team’s motivation is to make a move. We only see it from our perspective, and a lot of times the decision makers have different info, different knowledge, etc
With that said, I bet nobody even came close to predicting this trade, bc everyone thought the Celtics would want/get more. Boy, were we wrong. This was a crazy trade, and I find it extremely hard to imagine how the Celtics are better. At least this year. And prob for a while. I don’t think they have any idea how hard Jaylen played, and how that makes a difference, coach is able to hold everyone else accountable, and a lot of times he doesn’t bc the players 👮 themselves. And brown was a huge part in that and he brought it every night.
Wowzers. Can’t believe they all but gave him away. Incredible
Kawhi Leonard has been traded back to the Raptors: Should he never have left?
Does Kawhi Leonard being traded back to the Raptors from the Clippers show he never should've left a city in Toronto that appreciated him after winning them a title in 2019 to go to a glamorous city like Los Angeles but a desperate organization in the Clippers?
Heard Jaylen Brown’s value isn’t as high as the Celtics make it to be. The Wizards get off of AD getting depth around Dybantsa. Rockets go all in around Amen KD and Sengun.
Celtics put a team around Tatum that can go head to head with the Knicks.
PG- Payton Pritchard/ Fred Vanvleet
SG- Derrick White/ Sam Hauser
SF- Jayson Tatum/ Hugo Gonzales
PF- Anthony Davis/ Jordan Walsh
C- Chris Cenac Jr/ Neemias Queta
The Wizards pickup some more overall players that can shoot the 3 ball well and they are able to gain cap space in doing so.
PG- Trae Young/ Tre Johnson
SG- Kyshawn George/ Reed Sheppard
SF- AJ Dybantsa/ Will Riley
PF- Jabari Smith Jr./ Justin Champagnie
C- Alex Sarr/ Tristan Vukcevic
The Rockets end up coming out of this deal with Jaylen Brown who reunites with his former teammate Marcus Smart. He becomes the immediate alpha creator alongside KD.
PG- Marcus Smart/ Bruce Thornton
SG- Amen Thompson/ Aaron Holiday
SF- Jaylen Brown/ Josh Okogie
PF- Kevin Durant/ Dorian Finney Smith
C- Alperen Sengun/ Steven Adams
LeBron and Anthony Davis reuniting with a different California team?
With the reports of LeBron James telling the Lakers he intends to sign with another team this offseason, does another California squad in the Warriors become the favorites to land LeBron, if they can trade Jimmy Butler for Anthony Davis?
If You Boston Would you take the risk? As Utah and Washington I’m taking this 100%… landing the DPOY AND THE FINALS MVP. AJ goes home.
CELTICS
PG- Derrick White
SG- Sam Hauser
SF- AJ Dybantsa (2nd Option)
PF- Jayson Tatum (1st Option)

WIZARDS
PG- Trae Young
SG- Darryn Peterson
SF- Keyshawn George
PF- Jaren Jackson Jr.

The only thing I was wrong about was how bad DC loved AJ- Still feel Darryn was the better choice however that being said Wizards trade for KD who is AJ fav player- Rockets land Jaylen Brown resetting the window, Boston with Tatum and AD can absolutely beat OKC or Spurs in the finals.
Boston goes all in around Tatum and the Rockets get a younger FMVP and defense heavy in the Paint.
CELTICS-
PG- PAYTON PRITCHARD
SG- HUGO GONZALES
SF- JAYSON TATUM
PF- KEVIN DURANT
C- ALPEREN SENGUN

SF- JAYLEN BROWN
PF- JABARI SMITH JR.
C- MARK WILLIAMS (FA signing)
Could Trey Murphy III be a fallback option for the Celtics if they can't get a big name?
If the Celtics strike out on landing a big name in a trade before the start of free agency, could Pelicans 3-and-D winger Trey Murphy III be a good fit in the Celtics system alongside Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum?
