want proof of just how broken recruiting is right now?
Check this out. i just simmed 10 years into the future and looked at every team (minus my own, Akron), to see who their top players were
OVER TWO THIRDS OF TEAMS HAVE A KICKER OR PUNTER AS A TOP THREE PLAYER!!
this is a sign that people are NOT landing enough recruits and that the auto-generated special teams players are the only viable players
really hoping this gets fixed soon

I compiled a list of all player attributes that are unable to be upgraded through progression. Sorted by position and archetype.
This list is largely unchanged from last year’s, but figured I would post again to bring it to the attention of any potential new players.
Any attributes listed below are ones that cannot be upgraded by the player archetype it’s listed under, but can be upgraded by another archetype in the same positional group.
For example, BTK cannot be upgraded by Backfield Creator or Pocket Passer QBs, but can be upgraded by Dual Threat and Pure Runner QBs.
A few standouts:
Elusive Route Runner WRs remain unusable imo as they are unable to upgrade CIT or SPC. Same with Box Specialist FS/SS as they are unable to upgrade AGI or COD. Signal Caller OLBs must be moved to MLB in order to upgrade their AGI and COD. Finally, Physical Route Runner TEs are the only TE archetype that cannot upgrade RBK.

Recruiting is broken
I love everything about the game so far. The new menus look amazing, the presentation is great, new gameplay is hard and the game actually feels like a challenge.
However it’s hard to be immersed if everything around you is broken. Recruiting is the lifeblood of a college video game and it needs to be fixed immediately. In real life a top 20 5 star recruit will probably have 40 offers. Why does he have 2 offers? Some of them don’t even have one.
Way too many 3/4/5 star recruits have 0 offers. I love the new NIL idea but unfortunately right now it’s completely broken as expected with EA. it’s so frustrating to have the main feature added to this game be broken year after year. It’s been a problem for years but this years it’s really bad. I don’t even know how they fix it, because again it’s been an issue since 25.
Mid p5 schools are becoming 60 overalls.
This needs to fixed immediately, especially if you’re trying to monetize dynasty.
For people on PC that both bought the game and have EA Play
Bought through EA App. Apparently both the trial and full game are options but launcher will default to bought version. Open file properties to get to this page. Hopefully this should allow people to play 10 hour trial. If not I will delete.

Dynasty Impressions after 10 hour trial
I played trial and experimented with two teams Purdue and Tulsa got to year 3 playing the moments mostly. I just so I can see what’s it like to have a lot of nil and small amount of nil. So far I do like it better than last year but it still has the same problems as CFB 25 and 26 in terms of recruiting.
Positives:
- Gameplay is way better than 26. Running feels great and short yardage situations isn’t automatic stop now by CPU. Throwing feels different because you can’t bomb the CPU anymore with 80 throw power QB. Having a pocket passer really made a difference in throwing.
- I really like NIL you can feel progress once you get better as a school and makes it more challenging in recruiting as lower tier program. It also makes each school unique on what you can do at each school. I always want football manager type of game.
- Sim engine has gotten a lot better just from using 2 different schools that use 2 different playbooks Tulsa(Power Spread) and Purdue (Air Raid) before in the other games if you didn’t have the right sim playbook your offense would go no where when simming the moments or the season.
- Game looks amazing on PC and no problems at all which I appreciate since most PC games have terrible PC ports
Negatives:
- NIL made CPU recruiting so much worst compared to previous games. Before there would be like at least 5 schools going after a prospect. Now you are lucky if one school is going after the same prospect. So now lower tier schools in Power 4 conference get worst so much faster. Baylor is 60s overall after only 3 seasons
- 3 stars ask for so much NIL like top 3 stars ask for 100+ NIL and when you get them they are like high 60s normal dev prospects and for small schools it’s problem cuz recruiting NIL is so important in what prospects to use it on. There should def be more low NIL 3 stars
- EA are greedy bastards. They took out fast and fastest coach exp and made normal so slow while increasing the amount of points to upgrade each tier in coaching tree. 100% they want you to pre order to get more coach points to upgrade coaching tree faster or get other editions.
- Last part some characters are models are straight ugly. For some reason they either gave players skinny heads with big bodies or big heads with skinny bodies.
Overall I really like the game I rate it a 7 or 8 out of 10 just based the 10 hours I played. What are you guys impressions so far?
Teams getting wrecked by the portal
I’m a bit sad that they didint fix the transfer portal cooking teams uva is 64 rated by year 3 of my dynasty was hoping they would fix this

I’m in year 2 as OC for ULM and it’s pain , I’ve had 2 bench my starting QB again (I’m controlling him and throwing these picks lol) I’m losing against sun belt competition because i can’t get a QB and I can’t throw the ball deep because every corner is Pat Surtain. ULM budget was 35 nil points yes 35 lmao but with the AD goals I was able 2 get about 600 and gave it 2 a WR QB and TE all 3 stars and all 3 guys have been super lackluster and I love it because just like in real life throwing a bag at a kid doesn’t mean u get a all timer this game is fire please don’t touch it man

Lanorris Sellers wanted a cool 280 and I offered him 390 because we are desperate over here.
So then his expectation shot to 390 and Auburn backed way the hell up like "nah we ain't paying that". This game is amazing lmao.

I overpaid for two 3-star athletes and Alejado, but aside from that, I think I did pretty well.
10 hour trial
I finished the trial yesterday. Is there a way for me to immediately start playing again or do I have to wait until Monday with all of the methods?

I’m not finna lie, I’ve played CFB27 and I’m GENUINELY enjoying the game.
• there’s a gap between all American vs heisman difficulty
• Dynasty rebuilding for smaller schools is a REAL challenge, not as simple as pervious years.
• the defensive players are not letting easy things by in coverage
• MASCOT MASHUP IS BACK FOR THE OGs
Obviously a few small tweaks are needed but I’m not seeing anything major, just keep the game a challenge for people who want it a challenge.
I’ve waited from 2015-2024 for a new game so I’m not too picky for what I’ve wanted on the wishlist, I just wanted the game.
We’ve had 3 years now but truly I’ve liked 27 more than 25,26.
