I audited NCERT's digital textbooks. At least 16 completely fail basic accessibility software (PAC), blocking blind students

As someone who works closely with educational content, I noticed a massive violation of the RPwD Act, 2016 by NCERT and CIET. I ran a technical check on their digital textbook PDFs, and across multiple grades, key books failed standard accessibility compliance. Screen readers read them as gibberish.

I filed an official grievance on CPGRAMS, but systemic issues require public noise. I launched a petition to force an immediate remediation and a transparent portal audit. Please check the technical details and sign it here: https://c.org/xkDW8qsTmM

Which is the better book for class 10th cbse 2026-27 (plz reply)

(I have posted this question in r/CBSEboards also and reposting to get quicker and better reply) Guys I am very confused which one to buy between Padhle Akshay's newly launched TYQ book 2026-27 edition featuring chapter wise cbqs and Prem Sharma's granth book featuring past years pyqs... Im a freshman in class 10th board exams studying in st Joseph's convent school in kotma... My budget is just to afford only one of them and obviously the best one. I have some trust issues with both and i believe that asking to ai or someone sitting on YouTube will be the worst decision because they will just support partially or randomly compare them in such a way that the situation still remains 50-50. Help me select best of the above to, asking because u are more experienced and seniors who have gone through the path where I'm taking steps now. Thanks.

To the students struggling with history, what problems do you face in comprehending the larger picture of human history?

Hey everyone,

I'm a developer and a huge history nerd, and I'm exploring an idea for a tool that could make history easier to understand and visualize.

One thing that's always bothered me is that history in school often feels like a collection of separate chapters and facts to memorize. But when you start reading more history outside school, you realize it's actually one giant interconnected story happening across different places and time periods simultaneously.

For those of you studying CBSE history:

  • What do you find most difficult about learning history?
  • What makes a chapter boring or confusing?
  • Do you struggle more with remembering dates, understanding causes/effects, visualizing empires on a map, connecting events across chapters, etc.?
  • If you could have any tool in class (interactive maps, timelines, animations, comparisons, simulations, quizzes, anything), what would actually help you understand history better?

Some ideas I've been playing with are:

  • Interactive empire/polity maps
  • Timelines that show what was happening around the world at the same time
  • Population, trade and wealth visualizations
  • Historical event chains (what led to what)
  • Visual comparisons between civilizations

Would love to hear what you think is missing from the way history is currently taught.

Need suggestions for balancing studies and other life activities in cbse 10th class

Guys, please don't begin by saying 10th is easy af, I know u people might have clutched 10th by only studying a day before or few months. I need a good 10th class, I want to really put in efforts and be a better person...

A simple intro of me..

Tall, skinny kid,not at all athletic, wears specs, got 97% in 9th & 8th grade. And I'm aiming for 495+ in boards.

But here is the issue, I heard that to get 495+ people need to sacrifice a lot! Like all the extra activities, but I know this ain't NEET OR JEE OR 11TH class to begin with Real Efforts! Still in kinda confused..

Like if I wanted I could just study normally and get around 480 no pressure. But I really wana out do everybody and get the highest possible...

But all the seniors tell me to enjoy my life, like how? Could u be more specific pls?

As I have a inter school basketball tournament in November mid. I'm bad in bb but I have been in school team in previous tournament in 8th grade, but lost the match as we were pretty beginners. But in 9th i tried my best to improve in bb by going daily coaching, but turns out some people are only good in one thing. Like all my friends surpassed me, ngl, I suck at bb, but I like playing it... And this time the tournament is in Rajasthan (I live in Tamilnadu). Even getting selected in school team is enough to just have an experience of going somewhere representing school... But u know life isn't as easy, my seniors keep on mocking me, while my friends think me as a joke in the court.

The way I have been treated in court is polar opposite to how I'm in academics and class. I have topped my class several times, even in all cca activities. But life isn't just abt studying right?

Alright leme get into the issues quickly, why I can't go for selection.

I wear specs, so I got to get contacts lens (for the first time) if I wana pursue bb tournament.

there will be atleast 1.5hrs of daily practice after school, afraid might affect my studies

3)I suck at bb, and so seniors in my team( we gona go in U19) will mock me if I don't keep up.

4)the practice might start from August or sooner.

  1. the tournament is in mid November or end November, and I have pre board 1 in December 1st week itself...

Why I think I can pursue the tournament:

my friends all aren't good in academics, those who always mocked me or better than me in bb, won't dare to pursue sports this year, they are afraid they will get very low marks( while I'm afraid I won't get 495+ marks, even if I don't study properly ill get around 475-485)

2)this is the last year for these sports and all activities. As from 11th I have to prepare JEE🥀🙏(wallahi I'm cooked)

3)my parents don't care abt my marks. Only I strive for the best marks as possible!

Questions:

should I try to balance both and get mediocre marks? Or focus on studies alone and get 495+?

what if they exams were tough as hell or some osm type of shit happens and all gets lower marks, then people who spent their time doing other activities and creating memories will be same as the people who tried so hard sacrificing everything.

am afraid of fomo, and I might loose my teenage years by locking myself in a room and study daily with no social life

Conclusion: should I focus on making memories and pursue bb even though it might affect my marks? Or only focus on studies and get 495+

Or is there a way I can balance both and get 495+ while in bb?

Thankk youu so much if u read this till now! Pls give me ur suggestions and answer my questions!

(Btw if have a min, could u also check my study Routine too plss? https://www.reddit.com/r/NCERT/comments/1tyesgx/need_help_for_a_class_10_routine_for_495_marks/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button )

(also sorry guys, could u only reply in English, I can't understand hindi.. sorry for the disconvience!!)

New Grade 8 NCERT math book

I just had a look at the grade 8 NCERT math book. What have they done? Removed several important chapters from the old version, and basically turned it into a cartoon comic book. Anyone feeling the same?
