Like har baar toh milta tha and even maine kuch seniors se baat Kari they were saying dhyan se choose karna preference subject order ko, and isme toh kuch alag hi likha hai.

I am an ITEP student (at IITJ) and I strongly disagree from the misinfo that many community members here are spreading.

The idea that by choosing ITEP as a stream, one cannot go into the research field is pure bullshit.

Neither the education institutions nor NCTE has anywhere specified that an ITEP student is not eligible for going into the research field. Though the program is focused on developing pedagogical mindset among students, one can always choose to pursue the research field after this program.

Infact many of my batchmates are into pursuing the research field.

As a proof of fact, one of our batchmates has been selected for a short research program at TIFR with many others also having their interns in topics like astronomy and mathematics (even in their first years)

Tho I don't know about other IITs running the ITEP program, here at IITJ, the profs and students never discourage one from pursuing the research field.

I got 311 female ews.. So are any nits iits or rie possible? I mean should I even fill the forms for these? And for central universities can you guys suggest me sth? What are the good ones?

I wanted to share a positive experience I recently had with NTA.

After receiving my result, I noticed an issue and contacted NTA through email with all the relevant details and supporting documents. I wasn't sure if they would respond or take any action, but after reviewing my case, they updated my marks and helped resolve the issue.

Guys as we know the result and all colleges and institute has started the registration process!

so iam just making you aware the reality of tag vs future , Mostly people filled this exam for IIT ,NIT that is completely fine but you need to see your future too after 4 years

only 500 seat are there In NIT,IIT plus the fees of registration is costly too ! apart from all this factor Yes there is uncertainty in placements ! whether you are doing this form IIT or NIT after spending lakhs of money So if you really wanna go to teaching line Try for RIE and some cu, and DU and BHU they offer better output in low fees ROI is high here

Who Should not join this course !

1-Want to go for abroad for higher studies do hons

2- Want to go for research

3-Want to become professor

4- Wanna go for corporate sector or tech fields!

so be smart and make your decision properly tag over future!!

I'm scoring 402 marks.. but I'm very confused if I should join IIT or not? If it's even worth it? Because it's a class of 50 students only. What exposure will we even get there? What if we face discrimination Because I saw a reddit post about students being discriminated against by the btech students. What about the clubs and societies? I don't think we would even be allowed to attend all of that? Neither there is any hope for placements or even internships. Running for the IIT tag isn't worth it? Is it? If we don't get the right exposure? At least they should offer internships or a support system because at the end the only thing we'd be left with will be teaching in schools and based upon my observation bout the conversations I had with some people i don't think so we would be able to get anywhere in corporate with this degree or even in a pvt college or govt one for teaching. Even for +2 just this degree won't be worth it. And as u all know it's difficult to find internships for a school teacher like who's even organising all this? It'd be difficult to apply it via off campus. And even the curriculum isn't good it's just 1 level higher than high school and for being a teacher u need more knowledge and you'd have to study more for it by yourself along with it i believe the level of IIT jam exam would be almost jee mains level within 4 years because of the increase in population and less seats. No proper education? No exposure for internships? No clubs? What's the fun of joining IIT then? For the IIT tag? Are u guys even sure it's worth it?

Drop your advice I'm lowkey very confused. What do u guys think about it? IS IT ACTUALLY WORTH IT?

I don't particularly want to be a teacher I'm more inclined towards research i just gave ncet cuz of my parents, my cuet exam on the other hand went pretty good, expecting above 500+ , and delhi is a more favorable location as I've lived there before but.. turning down Nit also doesn't feel right, would appreciate some suggestions here

I am from science stream, but i want english as a major. Or, if possible, my parents want me to take science subjects with english. I dont think that is possible, but they want me to make sure. Will i have to shift to BA if i want to take english? Do we major only in one subject or a combination of subjects?
