I couldn’t find the pics I took the other day. Birding is my wife an my new hobby while she is going through chemo.

Spotted this guy soon after sunrise. A mockingbird came along, dive bombing and screaming to please get out of his bubble 😆 I see mockingbirds attacking crows all the time but first time seeing one go after a hawk. The hawk just moved to another post and went about his business but it was great to witness so close.

ETA - This is a red shouldered hawk (possibly a juvenile?I’m new to birding so correct me if I’m wrong) seen at Carolina Beach NC.
