Taking a drop year (Score: 414) for NEET 2027. Need advice on my study pattern and materials from former droppers.
Hey people,
I am predicting a score of 414 in NEET this year. Since it's not enough to clear the cutoff, I have decided to take a drop year after evaluating the risks and discussing it thoroughly with my parents, teachers, and seniors.
While I have already set up my daily schedule, I want to double-check my study pattern to ensure I am on the right track early on. This is what I am planning:
- Study Flow: Reading NCERT thoroughly for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Evaluation: Giving weekly mock tests, reviewing conceptual gaps or mistakes, revising those weak areas, and repeating the cycle.
- Resources on Hand: Arihant modules and Physics Wallah (PW) Past Year Questions (PYQs).
My Questions:
- Do I need any other specific study materials or question banks, or is this enough for now? What am I missing?
- As a backup, I am planning to target the IAT (IISER Aptitude Test). I know the difficulty level and question style are different, but I plan to stick strictly to PCB and skip the Math section entirely. Is this a viable backup strategy without Math?
Would love to hear insights from past droppers who made it. Thanks!
good foaming gentle facewash under budget as a (student budget please🙏🏻 )
Guys should I prepare for NEET-UG from scratch now onwards, is it doable, or should I shift to another exam like CUET (2027 is my first and last drop).
Made Notion Template For Managing NEET Preparation.
I am a NEET27 dropper and NEED SERIOUS help 😭🙏
I NEED resources for
PHYSICS
INORGANIC CHEM
ORGANIC CHEM
PHYSICAL CHEM
I want to basically get an overview of all the books such as HC Verma for physics etc that I will need so that I can plan accordingly. I am sorry but I really am clueless and absolutely zero and thereafter need good and honest advice regarding books/refreshers to be used.
For BIO I am currently doing pearson and mtg fingertips, kindly let me know if there is something else too that I can do for biology.

Hello people
I’m a neet dropper, 2026was my first attempt with 12th scored 400 in re neet despite coaching,(Allen)wasted 11th and 12th completely
So now I have all the study material ,module, test should I still purchase some batch online for lectures or focus on self study and do one shots from YouTube and will purchase a test series further.
Rn I’m totally confused and feel like what I’m planning to do is even right or just sounds like it
Help Needed!
Need advice for my final NEET drop (Online vs Offline)
I'm 19 years old, and this will be my last drop for NEET. I've already made up my mind that I'm taking one final attempt, but I'm confused about whether I should study online or offline.
My journey:
- Started preparing in Class 11 (2023).
- In Class 11, I joined offline coaching but attended only around 4–5 months. I didn't pay attention in class and barely gave any tests.
- In Class 12, I joined Allen (12-hour batch), but I wasted most of my time on my phone watching anime and didn't study seriously. I attended for around 3–4 months.
- My first NEET attempt: Didn't even score the qualifying marks.
- Then I joined Unacademy during my drop year, but attended only about 2 months. Again, I wasted my time on my phone.
- Second NEET attempt: Again, I couldn't even get the qualifying marks.
I know all of this is my fault. I'm not blaming any coaching institute or teachers.
My basics are almost zero, I don't have proper notes, and across these 3 years I've probably given only around 10 tests in total. So I feel like I'm starting from scratch.
Since this is my last and final attempt, I want to do things the right way.
My questions are:
Should I go for online or offline coaching?
If online, which platform would you recommend for someone with almost zero basics? (Physics Wallah, Unacademy, Allen Digital, etc.)
If anyone has come back from a similar situation, what strategy helped you improve?
Please give honest advice. I don't need motivation—I need practical guidance.
Cam study grps?
Hi everyone!
I’m looking for any servers or study groups that do camera-on study sessions.
I’ve studied in this format before, and it genuinely improved my focus, accountability, and consistency.
I’m 20 years old and currently preparing for NEET UG. I can consistently do 6–10 hours of cam study a day and always maintain discipline and respect in study spaces.
If anyone knows of an active Discord server or study group that’s accepting new members, I’d really appreciate an invite or any recommendations.
Thank you!
Everyone I really need advice and your help please
Very less time is left, and I have to prepare neet from scratch (2027 is my first drop and will be first attempt, did not attempt this year)
Kya mujhe iske saath aage badhna chahiye? Time kaafi hai ya kuch aur karoon? Honestly, main bohot confused hoon, sab kuch scratch se start karna hai aur time bohot kam hai
I'm scoring above 420+ in reneet . Should i go for ALLEN KOTA ACHIEVER OR ALPHA ACHIEVER ????

2nd drop advice
I am 18f planning for second drop
Which will be the best coaching for now considering neet 2027 will be cbt
NEED GENUINE ADVICE
So this was my 3rd attempt.. gave neet in 24, 25 and this yr... Didn't scored above 4-500 in any of my attempts. But i still think I can do it.
Wasted 2 drop yrs and yes I am ashamed . I didn't even studied properly once in all these yrs. But I want to give one final shot.Should i do it aur is it just my coping mechanism at this point?? I don't Even know what I'll do if not be a doctor. All my father ever wanted from me was to become one... Even I wasted this years he still thinks I have it in me to clear this exam.
Also I do have taken admission in bsc in 2025
So should I go for one last call ???? Please help !
Does anybody have allen NEET modules for physics and chemistry??
reddit.comSecond Drop for NEET 2027 – Can't Afford Coaching This Time. Need the Best YouTube Teachers & Study Plan to Finish Syllabus by December.
Hi everyone
NEET 2026 didn't go very well for me. Looking back, I know I didn't give it my absolute best, and I regret that. I've decided to give NEET one final chance and this time I genuinely want to put in everything I have.
This will be my second drop. The problem is that my father won't allow me to join a coaching institute this year because I was enrolled in one previously but couldn't clear the exam. He now feels that spending money on coaching would be a waste.
So, I'll be preparing entirely on my own using free resources.
I need your help with a few things:
Which YouTube teachers or lecture series would you recommend for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (preferably complete lectures from basics to NEET level)?
Is it realistic to complete the entire syllabus by December so that I can dedicate the remaining months only to revision, mock tests, and question practice?
Is it possible to crack NEET through YouTube/self-study ?
One of my biggest mistakes in previous attempts was not getting enough time for revision. I don't want to repeat that. My goal is to finish the syllabus early and spend the last few months revising multiple times and solving as many questions and mock tests as possible.
Any advice, teacher recommendations, playlists, or study strategies would mean a lot
Should I take one more drop
2022 - 5.42 lakh rank(12th had very less knowledge, in 11 I started with motivation did good with allen online, covid yr but later stage I slipped but in last 3 months i studied like mad man)
2023 - 4.95 lakh rank (allen achiever batch was going very good but my mumma was in Bombay cancer treatment I used to visit there it was very bad times of our life we lost her in Jan. Tried my best in last 4 months but nothing was improving I was only torturing myself sitting for 15 hrs on study table grasping nothing)
2024 - 3.66 lakh rank ( was depressed went to delhi bz my uncle was there started V. Good scored 1st time 600+ in neet but with time overthinking, anxiety, family drama took over and I had infatuation with a girl could not studied in last months)
2025 - 2.31 lakh rank ( started again but it was lasy start with time got better did hard work and it showed improvement i got multiple time 600+ even got 695 once in test but again in last time I went into anxiety loop, overthinking loop , guilt loop family drama was also there i was living with my uncle, aunty it was not there fault I was overthinking too much and also couldn't manage in those 3 hrs)
2026 - NEET 560 marks ( speaking very honestly I started studying in October but I was not doing good in test and used to be demotivated but from jan those are the most hard working days of life i worked my ass off but it was not enough, only self study though )
Reneet 469 marks expecting 1 lakh rank( in that month I did not studied much again overthinking, anxiety and all took over me)
I have gotten better every year on an average i am getting better with 1 lakh rank, I know neet should not be judged like thins but I have improved and I know my mistakes that I did this yr too and I can improve there i am not talking emotionally, drop years are exhausting ik.
If I take drop there is no surety that I will get selected but its very hard to move on from here I am closest, I am scared of living with regret my whole life I want to win so much any suggestions will be appreciated or should I take partial drop with any other course with this mark I dont think I will get anything other than bhms, should I take full drop from allen, I will be honest I have got lot to improve but years have been passed my real age is 23 yrs well on paper its 21. I am going home from kota( i did self study) meet 3 guys who said I am doing MBBS when they asked abt me, I lied and I am regretting lying that it was my 1st drop and I am getting 510 marks. I am felling so terrible right know.
need advice from people who improved chemistry
what was your strategy for organic chemistry and physical chemistry?
which teachers did you follow?
what materials did you solve? were allen modules + NCERT + PYQs enough or did you use anything else?
how did you revise organic so you didn't forget reactions and mechanisms?
if you started out weak in OC or PC what helped you improve the most?
would really appreciate detailed advice from people who have been through it. thanks!
