Best food in Berwick and Bloomsburg

What are your favorite places to grab something to eat?

Open to any suggestions! Sit down, carry out, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If it’s worth paying for, I want to eat it.

Just moved here from Scranton and we’re directly between Berwick and Bloomsburg. We had hoagies from Jim & Vera’s that were great, but nothing else yet.

Thanks for any suggestions!

The People's Hearing

Tomorrow (Monday July 6) is hopefully the last conditional hearing for the Wildcat Ridge Data Center application in Archbald. The citizens are presenting an expert witness and the public will be able to voice their opinion in public comment.

The video was made by a talented concerned citizen who is involved in the core group fighting back! 💛💛

Popeyes Chicken in Matamoras / Milford PA Fails Inspection

After eating at the Popeyes chicken near the border of Milford in Matamoras, Pennsylvania, right in front of the Lowe’s hardware store I and members of my family were sickened.

I filed a complaint and in response to the Pennsylvania state government inspected them

They failed that inspection

I did a public records request so I have the inspection results

I have posted the last page of the inspection with the comments by the inspector

In the information I received as a result of my records request I could also see that this location has had multiple complaints made against them over the last four years and they keep failing inspections so they don’t seem to be learning anything from these failed Inspections and aren’t changing their ways.

Now you forewarned

Bike paths in NEPA

Looking for some info on places to go biking in Scranton/WB area, within riding distance of Pittston ideally.

Most of what I am finding has access issues.

The lowest part of the Lackawanna Heritage trail used to be accessible from the Taylor train yard but now has "no trespassing" signs everywhere, seems the lowest point to access is in south Scranton.

I keep finding the Rocky Glen trail in Moosic labeled from various sources online but no solid info on where the entrances are if they even still exist.

Swamp Road and Campbells ledge trails in Duryea seemed promising but gates on all sides make getting a bike onto the other side pretty challenging, especially if attempting solo.

The short rail trail from Pittston to Jenkins Twp is nice, easy to access, and well maintained but very short.

Any other suggestions? Official/unofficial trails welcome, Im not going to shy away from some rough off-road paths, but obviously most of the steep ATV trails around the area are not going to work. Thanks in advance

Paid Female Haircut Models Wanted (18+)

I’m looking for adults (18+) who are already interested in cutting or shaving their hair and would like to be compensated for it.

I'm offering $300 to several thousand dollars, depending on your hair's length, color, thickness, and overall condition. We'll agree on the exact amount before anything happens, and you'll be paid before the haircut begins.

If you choose to participate, the haircut may be recorded on video for my personal content project. Participation is completely voluntary, and all participants must be adults who provide informed consent.

The haircut can take place at a mutually agreed-upon public location or another location where everyone is comfortable.

If you're interested or have questions, please send me a message.

Looking for judgement free, affordable extraction/denture work.

Posting on my side account due to my own shame.

Basically the short version of the story is that I’m in my 30s and I’ve had a lifelong battle struggling with my oral hygiene for a lot of reasons I won’t go into. But basically my teeth are in really really bad shape. Like rotting out of my face bad shape. I’ve been fighting a losing, expensive battle to repair the broken ones, to try and have a semblance of a mouth, but due to my mental issues, even though I’ve been trying really hard in the last couple years, they’re too far gone. And I’ve had enough damage very recently that I just… I think it’s time.

Anyway, I’m looking for recommendations for a place that I can go for a consultation for potentially extracting most/all of my teeth and taking the plunge to dentures. I’m not insured right now but I will be back on dental in a few months and if I can get a consult in before enrollment starts next month, it might allow me to pick a plan that will possibly be able to work with me.

The local branch of Affordable Denture & Implants in WB looks promising with good reviews and I plan to schedule a consult but I would like to hear if anyone has experience there or elsewhere.

I know it’s going to be expensive especially if I start treatment before I’m back on insurance, but it’s also expensive to keep getting crowns and root canals and extractions and I just can’t do it anymore.

The biggest issue is that I don’t/can’t drive, so the closer to WB, the better. I can and do use the bus system as well as having a support network who is willing to help in times of need, so if the most affordable and kind option is a little further away, I wil still consider.

Please save your hateful comments. Or post them anyway, I don’t really care, you can’t make me feel any more shame than I already do and since this is my side account I’ll only get notifications later when I come back to check anyway losers /s

Looking to buy sod in lower Luzerne county

I am looking for a business where I can buy a small quantity of sod.

I have ordered and installed sod before. Minimum order is 500sf. Big box stores are full pallets of sod only, not small quantities.

I am in need of 60sf or so of sod so an entire pallet of sod is overkill. I am looking for a business that sells piecemeal sod as needed.

Need a mechanic! WB/Scranton area

Can anyone recommend an honest mechanic for inspections and some diagnostic work?

I’m new to the area and my wife’s check engine light just came on. I used Kelly Smertz for tires and they were great, but I need a place for engine work and inspections.

Thanks for any help!

Local mortgage lender

First time homebuying. Any recommendations on someone seeking a primary residence conventional loan? Someone who is good at education and communication. Haven't done pre-approval yet, seeking some good leads.

Not opposed to online lenders but I will scrutinize the portals with sensitive docs if I can't submit any other way. Too much data breach stuff happening. Online lenders also might get tricky understanding state regulations and insurance so it's important someone knows about PA.

Any local credit unions you like? Any other lenders you used?

Appreciate the leads. You guys did me so well when I asked for accounting help.

Cliff Jumping

Hey everyone, I’m looking for cliff jumping spots in Northeastern Pennsylvania. If anyone knows of any locations, could you send me the coordinates, a dropped pin, or screenshots of the location? Photos of the jump, water depth information, and approximate jump heights would also be really helpful. I’m intwrested in any spots with deep enough water for jumping. Any information or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

He had this for a long time and gave it to me, I framed it and hung it in my home theater room. I thought you’s might like it, it doesn’t look nearly as wrinkly in person as it does in the photo

Small Business Deals in NEPA (anti-prime week)

Any recs for local businesses running deals this week? Noteology in Scranton has 30% off, and I think Little Book Place in Tunkhannock is also running sales. Bookshop.org has free shipping, and you can select Little Book Place to receive a percentage of your purchase (feel free to share other local bookshops that might be set up on there, too!).
