Saw someone else trying to figure out how close they could get without falling into a black hole, and then I got an idea for a base I could build there!
It's very simple, but also pretty cool imo- you park near the limit of where you can fly your ship, and then you have to walk half a mile to get to the base- on Switch 1 anyway, there is a gray area where you can be close to the BH on foot but if you get into your ship you instantly go thru it- that's where we at.
The building itself is a giant, dark triangular room that ends with a wall of windows looking at the BH, with a single desk in the middle. I was not aware that there is a galactic plane that some decorations can't be rotated out of, so no chair.
I also did not know about the BH throwing off fluorescent blue light, but once I figured it out it drove a lot of decisions.

If the base depot is powered down and empty when you arrive, save and reload your game. The base will reset to maximum capacity. Every supply depot is now connected, so access any of them to withdraw 1,126,750 gold. That amount almost fills up a maxed out S-class hauler. This gold can be sold to pilots at Wuzhou Platform (space station) at a rate of +3.5% for 411,596,608 units.

You can also repeatedly haul away gold without waiting for the base to refill normally. After selling the gold, save and reload your game at Wuzhou Platform. Check 'Recent' in the teleporter to make sure Midas V has been removed from memory. Return to Midas V, and you will find it as before, powered down and empty. Save and reload again, and the base will once again be at capacity.
If anyone is wondering about the tower of extractors, it was to maximize the output of the hotspot. Initially each level was on a separate supply line to bypass the diminishing returns of using multiple extractors and fill the depots faster. Once the base was at capacity, I connected the depots together and uploaded my base so the servers would take a snapshot of it full, even though in that state it would take about a year to refill.
I currently play NMS through GOG, but I made this base with my Steam account. So I use this currently whenever I need units quick. Beats the multi step process of crafting Stasis Devices and Fusion Ignitors.
This ship really looks amazing as it's flying. The best slot layout I could find was a 4 connected L pattern, with the ship being a C class. There's also an A class but the SC slots are not nearly as good. Both ships are labeled with save points and bases. You'll need to upgrade to S to unlock the L supercharge slot layout on the C. All info is in pics; glyphs, coords, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: This ship is in a PURPLE star system and will require you to have an Atlantid drive and the 'In stellar multitudes' quest line completed.

While scanning the planets in the system with my latest station I came across this beauty. They seem quite commen on the planet. Good hunting!
This is in Eltiensleen Galaxy (Galaxy #9). Tropical SSS battle pets! The planet is Kuo-Tao. The Alien T Rex is the easiest to find. It's variant 2 is a little more difficult. Regarding the Plant cat, he's a bit more elusive but he's there :) Huge shoutout to my fiancée, BlueMyst17 for another amazing find!
