Today, I wanted to talk about and discuss my favorite group, ETD-6, and their future releases.

Now that Chaos has been released and Lingko announced, I’ve been thinking about something. They are just the introductory part of ETD-6.

It would probably feel too crowded if the devs released all the ETD members back-to-back. Instead, they introduced Chaos and Linko subtly to set up their character growth, saving the major ETD development for version 1.5. But why 1.5 specifically?

We already know Zankou is releasing in 1.3, along with Linko. I believe Linko's release will be simpler since the patch's main focus seems to be continuing the Scarlet Letter plotline. However, if we look back at the game’s Launch Trailer, every character except Chaos and Linko follows a strict introduction order.

Following this logic, version 1.4 should finally bring the Black Bird plot (who appears right after Zankou) and Akane Rin (who appears after Black Bird).

Moving forward, we see ETD-4, a squad we already know well and whose members have all been released.This finally brings us to the main event: ETD-6 in action.

Our princess Nitsa appears after Linko, immediately followed by Chaos, where Exe finaly makes her gorgeous appearance. Exe needs no introduction — he is easily competing with Shinku and Lacrimosa for the title of the most anticipated character in the game. Nitsa was also incredibly well-received by the community. A plotline where she joins the squad to fight alongside them makes perfect sense. The Launch Trailer shows she is a massive fan of theirs, and the Co-Ex Test Trailer highlighted how anxious she was to work with them one day. Because of this, we will likely get one or two full patches dedicated entirely to ETD-6, perhaps even showcasing Nitsa becoming an official member of the squad

So, why is 1.5 the Half-Anniversary patch?

This is due to Chaos’s highly shortened banner duration. It created a ripple effect, pushing version 1.5 to land exactly at the end of October—coinciding perfectly with the game’s Half anniversary. Holding Exe back instead of rushing him in 1.3 right after the Lacrimosa-Shinku sequence is a smart business strategy. It allows the devs to save the remaining highly-hyped character for a major milestone patch, alongside Nitsa, who is also heavily anticipated right now. After that, we would likely enter the final patch of the 1.X cycle, where Elyms would be released with a lighter rollout to wrap up the ETD-6 storyline. This makes even more sense when you consider that, as revealed in the official 1.2 livestream, she is currently receiving a complete visual rework.
