Moving from Los Angeles, Need an apartment and roommate in Queens by mid-June-July

Hi all,

Just got the confirmation that I will be working in New York now.

I need an apartment in Queens that will let me pop in and out of Brooklyn and Nassau County easily.

I am being contracted to do fieldwork from Brooklyn-Long Island so I will be out in the wee mornings and back by the afternoon.

About me: I’m 28 and male. I’m pretty boring tbh. I like reading, playing video games, exploring the outdoors, and writing stories. I am not usually loud, but I can be talkative with people that I’m close with.

I am pretty liberal and queer friendly. Am ok with guy or female roommates (or anyone else, I lived in an open gender and queer friendly hall on campus).
I don’t smoke nor do drugs and drink little (but I’m ok if you do).

I can be quite flexible with the move-in date since the company will pay for my hotel room for a bit.

Price range is : $500-$3,500ish (though I doubt I find anything in the lower amount in queens)

Looking to rent to room in NYC

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking to rent a room long-term with a budget of around $1200/month.

A little about me:
• I work in the city as an AV tech
• Born and raised in NYC
• Fairly clean, respectful, and easy to live with
• I can cook (and actually clean up after myself lol)
• Not a party person and I don’t bring random people over all the time
• 420-friendly, so ideally looking for someone who’s okay with that as well

I also have a friendly 30lb Pomsky, so the home would need to be dog-friendly 🐶

I’m mainly looking for a calm, respectful, friendly environment with good vibes and open communication. Due to some unfortunate personal circumstances, I’m looking to make a fresh start and find a stable place to call home.

If you know of anything available or think we’d be a good fit, feel free to message me. Thanks!

22M ISO Brooklyn / Manhattan / Queens Roommates for August Move-In

22M incoming Berklee NYC student looking for roommates / people to apartment hunt with for an August move-in. Budget is around $1500 per person including utilities and ideally looking to build a solid 3BR setup with 3 roommates total including me, anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens with a reasonable commute to Midtown.

A little about me: I’m from India, moving to NYC for my master’s at Berklee, and I make music (guitar/singing/production). I’m very mindful about shared spaces though, headphones, practice rooms, keeping noise under control, etc. Beyond music I’m pretty social and into concerts, nightlife, festivals, late-night food runs, exploring neighborhoods, and actually experiencing the city instead of just surviving in it.

Big thing for me is finding roommates who are communicative, reliable, clean, and easygoing. I’d rather build a genuinely comfortable home environment than just split rent with random strangers who never talk to each other. Down for occasional lowkey hangs/movie nights/pre-games, but definitely not trying to create a chaotic frat house situation either.

I’m actively apartment hunting and ready to move quickly for the right setup. Happy to hop on a FaceTime/call first so things feel less random. My IG is @llam_ajama if you want to put a face to the post.

Currently on IST so replies might be a little late sometimes.

DM if you think we’d be a good fit.

25y M, Young Professional | ISO room/roommates | budget ≈$1600 | ≈40 min. max commute to Hudson yards. | Aug 1st

Hi, Looking for a room starting August 1st, ideally in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey City, or Hoboken — anywhere within ~40 minutes of Hudson Yards. Near the 7 train or easy connection to it is a huge plus.

I recently started a new job working as an IT professional. I’m out of the apartment most of the day. When I’m home I’m usually gaming (Switch or PC), at the gym, or convincing myself I’m about to go to the gym. I keep it reasonable on weeknights (usually wrapped up by 10), can go later on weekends. Common areas stay clean, my room is my business.

I’m considerate above everything else. You have work tomorrow? I’m not slamming doors at 2am. I just ask for the same energy back.

I also come with: dining table, coffee table, Nespresso machine, air fryer, blender, and rice cooker — basically a fully furnished kitchen I barely touch. All yours to use. (And I Have a place to send them if you are in no need of more appliances or furniture lol)

Looking for:
- Room under $1,600/month, utilities not included in that number
- In-unit laundry preferred, or close to a laundromat
- Roommates around my age, young professionals, chill vibe
- No dealbreakers on pets — love animals

Open to joining an existing setup or finding people to sign somewhere new together, though if you already have a place lined up that’s honestly a plus given my schedule.

Drop a comment or DM me with what you’ve got!

(Also pic above is a wedding, promise I’m not in a suit 24/7)

Early June move in - Luxury Building in Hells Kitchen (Flexed) with in-unit W/D (~2k / mo)

Hello! Looking for roommates to share a 2b2ba flexed into a 3b2ba in a luxury building in the lower Hell's Kitchen area (1yr lease). I've lived in the building for 4 years and I've loved it - the unit has washer dryer, it's a 24H doorman building, and has a really nice rooftop with great views of the city!

The two rooms I'm looking to fill would be the flex room and the 2nd full bedroom that share a bathroom. The flex room would have a true flex wall and doorway that feels like a true bedroom. Targeting slightly under 2k for the flex, and just over 2k for the full bedroom.

I'm a 29M working in finance - mostly keep to myself but would be happy to spend time with my roommates if it's a good fit! Looking for people in their 20s that are respectful about living in a shared space. Please reach out if you think it would be a good fit!

Hell’s Kitchen roommate needed ASAP

Hey there! I (28M) have been living in this wonderful HK building and am looking for someone to move into this extra large bedroom. It has an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Your portion of rent would be $3K/month. It’s incredibly central to the CE line, as well as the NRW/BD. Doorman building with elevator and gym. I’m quite social and love to host, would love a friendly face in the space (or we can keep to ourselves). Hmu with interest or questions!

1br in 3br-$900- 1100ft2 - sublet in the heart of Hell's Kitchen-1100ft2

Looking for a one-month to one-year sublet.

Room and apartment are fully furnished and located in Midtown West

The bedroom is normal-sized. It includes full sized bed and mattress, large window with lots of natural light, dresser, clothes rack, shelving for storage and black-out blinds.. This apartment was recently gutted and remodeled - new kitchen, bathroom, hardwood floors.

The rest of the house is also completely furnished with a large TV, marble dining table with swivel chairs, additional desk area, AC, and bar table. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking.

Rooftop access with incredible views of NYC skyline.

Utilities are usually $70-$120 a month.

I am open to any lease length, but I prefer those who will sign a 1 year sublet.
