one of the big questions going into the year -- after last year's unsuccessful Cloud & Sabrina pairing -- was what a successful backcourt pairing with Sab would look like. Her and Johannes seemed troublesome. Her and Laney has foundered with Laney's lack of availability. But in the past couple of games (beating title contenders!) it feels like we've maybe stumbled into it, with Astier and Sab? Astier's lane-penetration opens up the 3-point line for Sab (and she can, if challenged or not wanting to shoot, find a cutting Stewie or whoever). And Sab's threat from deep keeps the lane open for Astier's drives (and she can of course pass to JJ or Leo or whoever when challenged at the rim).

Fear of bad defense made it seem unlikely, but if Sab can keep herself at a plausible defensive level (as she did against Minnesota) & Astier can stay pesky, then Leo and Stewie as the back-line feels like it takes care of a lot.

Sometimes, fans of teams will say things that come off as negative about their team. Maybe they're giving their sense of being realistic, maybe they are frustrated with their team, maybe they will think it doesn't make sense to have optimism when your team is doing poor. There are many situations in which someone will say something in their sense of reality.

This doesn't mean that someone is against their team, a traitor, or some sort of awful human being who should be told to self-exit (using this term to avoid my post being removed by Reddit).

A sports opinion doesn't warrant a death threat, wishing death or harm on someone, and other hateful things. Your comment will be removed by Reddit. Your account will get a warning. You could get banned from Reddit as a whole. And you will be banned from this subreddit. GET A FUCKING GRIP AND BE MORE RESPECTFUL!

In all sports, athletes get paid more than us to essentially exercise. They aren't super offended by opinions of a team's probability of success. You do not need to defend their honor by wishing self-exits on people.

And if this isn't something you can comprehend, in the words of one of my favorite creators, Tony Weaver Jr., GO GET SOME THERAPY!

Caitlin Clark, although she said it late, has condemned her fans from bullying and harassing people in her name. What makes you think the New York Liberty want their fans to tell people to shut down permanently? I wouldn't be here to help with this subreddit if my attempts worked and if the people who told me to self-exit kept telling me to do so.

I love Laney, she’s my favorite player. She has had numerous knee injuries and knee surgeries over the last few years (at least 2 each). She is not herself. JK has said that she means so much to the franchise, and they want her healthy. I believe him. Give it time. When she has played, she hasn’t been herself. She has missed opportunities, her shot is off. She needs to re-gain her confidence. It is hard to come back from injury and this takes time. Our fan base needs to be more patient.

I was watching the storm game and they did a montage of all their greats and it cut to Lauren and then Sue getting their jerseys retired. At this point, we know Stewie deserves a statue at Barclays when she hangs it up (that’d be nice) but do you all think Seattle would retire her jersey too? I know we have many years to question this but As petty as they are with her; she did change their franchise like she did ours.

Would you shut the fuck up? This is a professional basketball team that wins by scoring the most points in a game. We are quiet when our team shoots FTs because it helps our players focus so they can score points -- again, the points that accrue toward the goal of winning the game. I love Laney too, but at the point you're sabotaging our team to express that, you've really lost the plot.

My son asked for my Wings tickets for his grad gift and I said yes, but of course I want to see this game too! I got the STH add on link but it’s all upper bowl, which gives me vertigo. Has anyone had success getting tickets cheap for big games last minute? Also- I hate Ticketmaster and their double dipping fees- are there other options? We don’t know the other STHs near us in our section well enough to ask them. Please share any advice you have!

I saw two gigantic Asians sitting in a few rows in front of me, and seriously blocked my views. They even didn't move at half time break. I thought that were Han Xu's parents, so out of curiosity I went up, and the gentlemen turned to me, wow! Yao Ming. Not sure why the on-site broadcaster did not announce Yao's visit at Barclay's center. Did anyone on TV see the camera captured Yao Ming?

So far, INKAIKO on Bergen Street is a favorite; it’s top-notch.
