Anyone using this griddle for the 425?
How is it holding up?
I'm expecting quality. I also see off brands on Amazon, but some reviews aren't great..
Very happy with our first Napoleon. It’s a Freestyle 425 Phantom. First cooks: tuna tatami, warm smoked salmon and Peking duck. The duck was burned too heavily on the sizzle zone but was very pleasant nonetheless. First impressions of the barbecue are very good.
When we unpackaged and installed our grill it had horrible marks from the packaging tape. Tried reaching out to Napoleon customer support for 3 weeks and no response. We ended up using 3M adhesive remover and tried scrubbing with the grain but it still left small scratches. However, it looks better now than it did with the tape residue.
So far a disappointing start to the experience- it was 4 hours or so of scrubbing and we just now feel like we can start using the grill. Anyone else had this issue? Should I have submitted a warranty claim instead of trying to contact their support?
I bit the bullet and purchase this grill. It's been a struggle getting everything working but dealer has been great. One item I'm confused about is the lighting. I understand where the hood lights are as well as the 'storage' lights. What I can't seem to see or physically find are the cabinet lighting. This should light the cabinet but I can't seem to turn them on nor physically see them.
I'd appreciate anyone with the above grill letting me know if and where they are on your grill.
Thanks.
I've been watching them for a while. I got a clearance deal on this now discontinued Rogue 425 Model.
Couldn't walk away empty handed.
Hello all!
The title pretty much says it all. I am looking for my first grill and came upon this deal. I was initially looking for something smaller, but is this a no brainer considering the price discount? The store is heavily discounting the grill because it's for natural gas and it is apparently very difficult to sell, but I happen to have a gas outlet outside on my patio.
Thanks!
I'm a new grill owner, we chose the Napoleon Rogue 365 grill because it was a great price and reviews were really good. Super excited to start using it, but stressing a little about how to clean it! Literally not done this before so please be kind - just want to look after the grill properly without abusing it too much hah.
Can the Grill Rescue steam-cleaning brush be used on the porcelain coated grids? Are there any special instructions?
The manual noted:
Do not allow cold water (rain, sprinkler, hose, etc.) to contact the heated grill. An immediate temperature change will damage the porcelain and crack the ceramic burners.
But I wasn't sure if the steam cleaner was fine?
Thanks for your grill wisdom!
Hi guys,
I just bought the Napoleon TQ285 gas grill for my apartment balcony and so far I am loving it.
I was wondering for how long do you think the travel gas canister is going to last me ?
Also, how often do you clean the inside of the grill?
Just retired my old Weber Genesis for a Prestige 500 Phantom. Loving it so far!
I have a new Napoleon grill from Costco as per my earlier post and the infrared burner doesn’t light from the starter and the two front doors arrived dented.
The website doesn’t accept my serial number or model number which is pretty lame and I requested a call back from calling the warranty line and haven’t received a call yet
Any suggestions or does anybody from Napoleon monitor this?
Looking at a clearance deal on the Legacy Prestige 665 RSIB (natural gas version). It would be just under $1850.
What am I missing out on with the older legacy model vs the current model?
Hi together,
I’m bought my first grill a napoleon freestyle 425 phantom. Since it’s my first grill I was looking very carefully and saw some things that look like cracks but feel like buldges. Is this a production failure, do I have to worry or can I start grilling?
It’s my first gas grill so I’m a bit anxious here.
Hope you can help me!
I seemingly cannot connect to anyone via email or live chat to get a warranty claim in for a brand new rotisserie (worked for a few turns, stopped moving but still hums).. Emails on their site no longer work (bounced) or auto response (no longer monitored). The live chat just directs me to the warranty portal which never finds my model.
Going to have to call but, has anyone else experienced this (warranty issues and/or rotisserie)?
Hi all,
First time here. I’m assembling by new grill and am struggling with this one step. The pictures are horrible and the video doesn’t address this one part. I’m struggling with how to mount the wire harness on the front left side of the grill. This wire hub was ziptied in a cluster under the control knob panel and based on the instructions page, it looks to me like I was supposed to cut off the ziptie and then mount the cluster to the grill. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!
I was debating a Weber grill since they were more entry price level friendly for what people say are quality grills but I saw this bad boy on sale at a local store (I blurred out to prevent doxxing myself)
It feels like a steal being at 432 when msrp is 899.99 but not sure if this normally goes on sale like this end of summer.
Its a 425 with side burner in the black edition but here to ask first off good deal? And second, I almost finished setting it up but now what? Do i have to deep clean once before using? Do I need to do anything to break it in so to say?
Just a warning to any prospective buyers. I was pulled in because Napoleon makes great grills and a lifetime warranty seems too good to be true. My grill has been having some issues and I've spent literally the last two WEEKS trying to reach someone there for help and still have not gotten through. Emails, contact forms, calling and waiting on hold for hours at a time. I even did the "contact local dealer" and literally crickets.
Idk man, doesn't feel like a warranty is very useful if you can't get ahold of a single person to diagnose problems.
Hi there qwick question it may sound stupid be gere it goes . When it rains even with cover on water meets up under the bbq and goes down . Anyone know how to fix this ? Everything i sealed especially the back
Cheers!
Well I've been reading this wrong the whole time thinking the longer lines were the markers for the degrees in Fahrenheit in the hundreds but I was wrong because I never turn on the digital part unless I used the sensors.
