How do I get people to come out to free shows!?

Hey! I managed and run a small vintage shop in East Nashville. I have been putting on free concerts/ shows for our neighbors. But it’s been so hard to get the word out on what we are doing, and social media just doesn’t seem to be getting me anywhere.

Any advice on how to get people to actually show up and want to go to a free event!? I just want body’s in the space that’s all 🤣🤣 but I feel like I’m just missing something and I’m out of ideas.

I post on all social media platforms, including here. I post on the local community groups on Facebook. And I’ve done flyers in the past.. and it’s still not really working.

So I would love any input if anyone has any ideas. Thank you in advance!

Also check Backslide Vintage when you can 💛

Some of the best Nashville memories aren't planned.

They're the ones you accidentally stumble into. This is a truly local event that's been bringing people together for years.
Visitors are welcome too, just don't be surprised if you leave wanting to move here. 🫣

🎷 Big Band Dance

A free dance lesson, a live 20-piece-style big band, food trucks, and a park full of people simply enjoying a Nashville summer night.

Bring a blanket, bring a friend, or just bring your curiosity.
If you're visiting this weekend, this is the kind of memory you probably didn't plan on making.

Social Experiment

I am a local owner and operator of 2 business who is working on his pitch in public. I would like to see if I can introduce myself and leave you my card for a little bit of feedback. I am working on building my courage to talk to potential customers in the Nashville community. If this is something you’d wish to participate, send me a location and I can come out and see how many cards I can handoff this week.
Thank you so much for reading!
