Gifted from Sister In Law

My sister-in-law is just the sweetest and is so thoughtful. She went out of her way and went to the Liberty Bell to get me a stamp while she was there for business. So sweet.

Passport to Your National Parks stamps around the National Mall — what I found at each location (August 2026)

I went around the National Mall today looking for Passport to Your National Parks cancellation stamps, so I thought I’d share photos of the stamp stations I found for anyone planning a stamp run in DC.

Each photo shows the stamps that were available at that location during my visit. You can zoom in on the photos to see the individual stamp labels.

Photo 1 — Lincoln Memorial Gift Store
Photo 2 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Gift Store
Photo 3 — Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Gift Store
Photo 4 — Thomas Jefferson Memorial Park Store

I forgot to take a photo but I also found stamp stations at:
White House Visitor Center
Washington Monument Lodge

One thing I learned: you don’t necessarily have to go to each individual memorial to get its stamp. Several of these locations have stamps for other nearby memorials/sites as well, and some locations have a surprisingly large selection.

There are also America250 commemorative stamps available at some of the stations.
Hopefully these photos help anyone planning a National Mall Passport stamp run!

New Passport

Hello. I bought my NPS passport this past weekend. I visit a few NP every year regularly and figured I’d start keeping track! I live in Pittsburgh and have a number with in a few hours. Looking forward to visiting more sights and saving the memories.

Passport stamps currently available at Independence Visitor Center – Philadelphia, PA (Aug 2026)

Posting this as a reference for fellow Passport stamp collectors!
These were the cancellation stamps available at the Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia when I visited on August 9, 2026. I forgot to take a photo of the actual stamping station, so here’s a photo of all the stamps I was able to collect there instead.
Hope this helps anyone planning a visit and wondering which cancellations they can get at this location!

Survey on US Regional Geography and National Parks

I'm working on a research project on regional US geography and travel to national parks, and I'm hoping to recruit participants from all 50 states. I could really use your help crowdsourcing this survey and getting a good sample.

Thanks in advance!

250 Passport

Working on my 250 Passport book for the summer. I live in the metro DC area. I picked up the special 250 Passport book for something different. It has been fun tracking different sites. They have selected some PBS ure/challenging ones for sure.

By chance we had planning a drive around New England and picked up a bunch of stamps on the way.

Voyageurs

My husband and I were able to visit Voyageurs National Park this past June. Such a beautiful place. We were able to do the 3 main hikes, but It is mostly a water based park, so to see everything we took a charter for one evening. We saw Ellsworth Rock Gardens, Kettle Falls Hotel and so much more on that tour. The tour guide even gave my book an unofficial stamp!

On our way back we were able to visit Saint Croix NSR in Wisconsin. We really wanted to go to the Apostle Islands, but were short on time (darn work! lol).

Summer has been so busy this year. Just trying to get caught up with my passports. I really do love our National Parks and cannot wait to go to Denali NP in a few weeks!

Retroactive Passport Stamp Question

# Are these stamps posted on national park site online the same as the ones we get stamped in person? Is it also ink or is it computer generated. Has anyone tried yet?

Ellis Island & Statute of Liberty Question

Hey Everyone,

I had a quick question concerning the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I'm headed there this Thursday for a work trip and already know they have separate cancellation stamps, as well as separate regional stamps (stickers).

Does anyone know if they have two separate park brochures as well? I (like many others here I suspect) like to collect the park brochures in addition to the stamps/stickers in my passport book. I see online that at least at one point in time there was a joint brochure, but I don't know if it's outdated.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
