This is my first Mpc. Switched after many years with Maschine. The learning curve wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything makes relative sense for the most part. Also shoutout to YouTube and ChatGPT. We’re so lucky dude lol.
I've tried to speak with the chat bot and it made a ticket, but when it switches over th inMusic, it shows no ticket has been created and I cannot check the status. Why does NI prevent us from changing out email address anyway?
I bought a used s88 from Guitar Center. I got it home and hooked up only to find out that the software was already registered to another person so I can’t get it. What is the point of that? Do they think the keyboard can be in two places at once? Will probably just have to return it after wasting a lot of time. Guitar Center can’t help. Very frustrating experience. I would buy a new one, but I don’t want to deal with shipping and who knows when it shows up. No store in the chicago area has a single decent controller. Just toys. Is this a chip shortage?

Looks like iZotope is now part of BorisFX, probably makes more sense for audio post production, but i’d imagine the subscription won’t be far off.
It would cost me $400 just for those 2 and I can get Komplete 26 Standard for like $150 more and both are included. I know I won’t use everything that comes with it but I know for sure there’s some good stuff in there I’d utilize.
Do Kontakt 8 and Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass ever go on sale, if so what does the price generally drop to?

I am an EDM Producer that uses Abelton - and I was excited to get this keyboard because it advertised it would lights up the scales in the key I’m in however I found that isn’t the case.
Upon turning it on the following buttons are not turning on:
Shift, scale, arp Browse instance back enter
I play an instrument off Komplete Kontrol and it plays fine - but still won’t let me change the scale or lights up any of the button
I go to Abelton and make a midi track and put Komplete Kontrol on there and it still won’t change either.
I tried to download a firmware update no luck there.
How can I access it so the lights will just show up depending on what scale I’m in :/

Uninstalling and reinstalling
Rebooting
Running as administrator

Hi Again - Bowed Effigy was released two weeks back. This unique instrument was designed to replace traditional solo string instruments with something more primitive, raw and unpredictable. The resulting sounds were crafted by bowing a steel string acoustic guitar and initial response has been super positive! There are both legato and polyphonic patches and some custom designed pads to boot. If you need something gritty, emotional and full of character, I encourage you to give it a try!

my M32 NI controller doesn't seem to work in logic as a control surface anymore - it always has until recently, but now trying to work out where to start. Unsure if its a controller, Logic, or Tahoe issue. So many possible permutations these days, mostly from the OS, so would like to hear of any other experiences in this area. thanks.
Anything I try to download gets the "download failed" notification. I'm using the latest Native Access app and I've seen numerous reports of issues with it. I can't install a single product and I own *a lot*. Currently freaking out I may be locked out of using hundred of € I spent on Native Instrument content.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Native Access, restarting my computer, logging out then back in.
EDIT: OS is Windows 11. Internet connection is fine, I download and play online all the time with zero issue and at lightning speed.
As for reports, trying to search for solutions I ran into people with the same issue saying they could make it work using a previous version of Native Access. But I'm not sure why I would need to do that in the first place, nor how to find older version or if it will even work at all.
No, don't worry, it's not yet another 'is there a list of expansion genres?' posts....there's been a few such posts here and elsewhere, but none of them seemed that consistent or detailed to me, so I put together a google sheet of all the NI products I own, extracting their type (instrument, maschine expansion etc), genre (pretty limited list they maintain) and description.
I've made it publicly editable (I think) so others can add products I don't own, or correct any errors in transcription.
Piggybacking on the Maschine genre metadata and description file u/MrNoTip created, here's my version of an Excel workbook I put together what shows a cross reference of Maschine, Massive, and Massive X expansions to genre. I wasn't satisfied with the lack of genre categories NI used on their site, so I took genre keywords from all the expansions and expanded the list. The clickable links take you back to the website where you can listen to the demos, but the same descriptions I used are on the site. If you feel it can use some improvement, by all means have at it. Hope you fine it useful. Note, U=I created this before the Leap Expansions were made, so since I have Kontakt 8 but really don't Leap expansions with them (I personally see them like Leap Expansions are to K* like Maschine Expansions are to Maschine, at least the loops in the Leap Expansions can directly be used in Maschine). **** SOLVED******* Is it possible to use the S88 without using a DAW? I have no problem getting it to work in a DAW/Studio One but most of the time I just use the keyboard to practice piano and was wondering if I could save a couple clicks not having to open a project in Studio One. I haven't had any luck getting sound using just Kontakt 8 or Komplete Kontrol. I have boomer level computer skills sometimes....
I've found a preset for Guitar Rig 5 that I would like to use with my copy of 7, but it doesn't show up in the preset browser, even after importing it into the correct folder. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take? I've tried other old presets and most of them work fine, but a couple don't. They're all in the correct folder and I've followed the guide on the Native Instruments website but these specific presets still won't work. I understand that they may be corrupted or something like that but I thought it worth asking about

It’s bittersweet. I’ve been with NI and Maschine since the MK2. Still remember picking it up at guitar center close to 14 years ago.(the white one 😌)I was pumped as a person who longed for physical hardware growing up watching all my favorite producers use mpcs. I started my production journey like most of on computers in daws and this seemed like the best of both worlds. But I just copped the Mpc one G2. It’ll be my first mpc. I’m excited. Im still thoroughly entrenched in the native instruments ecosystem. With the komplete suites and keyboards but I’ve decided to switch my drum machine/sampler setup.
I can’t imagine how impossibly hard it has to be to run a company like native instruments so I dont want to make it seem like I’m bashing them but we’ve seen how things have been going over the years and with them now being acquired by Inmusic home of Akai it seems like a great time to switch. The mpc native instruments integration was already underway and no doubt it’ll continue even further.
Who knows how much more support machine will get. It already felt neglected before the acquisition so who knows where it’ll end up in the future. I hope they invest in the platform honestly. I’d love to see a turn around. But akai and the mpc one g2 finally peaked my musical curiosity and I’m ready to try something different. Stay curious Maschine fam and go make some slaps.
