A turtle giving itself a scrub
I figured 3 full feeders was enough. Nope. This juvenile male Anna’s hummingbird let me know I was wrong.

Outside my window in North Texas yesterday
Mama duck finds her ducklings
So just got back from walking up the street to check on the fire by our house in Simi Valley.
Got home and saw Mama duck quacking away with 2 ducklings. Then one of them fell down the storm drain. Then you hear more down there. 🥲
Figured out how to get the man cover off, only to hear them further down the pipe where I couldn’t fit.
Then heard them across the street by another storm drain. Was able to get down there and found all 5 of them huddled together. Put them into a pool net and then coaxed mama duck down the street and over to the wash and let them go.
Mama duck and her ducklings all waddled off together.

Found a tiny stowaway hiding in my hose... he immediately claimed this hibiscus as his throne 🐸🌺
A solitary black-chinned hummingbird (3 o’clock on feeder) has been visiting my yard and his temperament and mannerisms are so cute.
Resident wild bunny 🩷
watched her make a nest in a flower bush yesterday. Completely unbothered by me and doesn't even leave the yard when I run the lawnmower
Is this root cheering me on?
Today was my last day in my SVP role. I made the decision to resign last month—with no agenda other than to rest, reset, and make space for life outside of work.
On my early morning walk, I came across this “root man.” It felt like a quiet sign.
A reminder to stay grounded, trust the pause, and keep my arms open to whatever comes next.
Thank you Mother Nature.
In case you’ve never seen a hummingbird sitting on its bum like a toddler at a splash pad.
Baby shrews chaining together to move as one unit. Absolutely insane to witness.

Tiny garter snake attack!
Sorry about the wind noise and general poor filming. This little guy was adorable.
