Would you join a free community photo contest with a $50 prize?

I’m going to organize a contest that anyone can join.

I want you to send me the best nature photos you’ve taken yourself. You can send them to me through DM.

After that, I’ll upload the photos to a website I’m building, and the community will vote there to choose the best photo. The winner will receive a prize.

This is just the first trial contest. In the future, I’m planning to make the prize bigger.

The reason I’m doing this is that I really love amateur photography, and I think amateur shots deserve more respect.

Deepak Taal, the Himalayas

Starting this beautiful day out here today in the Himalayas as the day, it begins about reaching and making all the way to this beautiful corner around the northern regions of Himalayas.

I could clearly see till a certain time, a certain point of the depth of the water as it was so clear, just like a crystal.

There were few of the streams through which the water was flowing rightly from the high altitude, mountain, glaciers, and then just forming up into this lake, making it all the way from the mountains.

It was that particular moment of afternoon when it was the time that we have to head back for a while. I had a thought about that. Why not you just stay here for a bit more, but also it was getting a bit chilly as also it was the later time in the afternoon and just few hours, the sun will set around the place, and currently we were at an altitude of more than 4000 m above the sea level.

Last moments around Deepak Taal, wandering beside the high-altitude glacier lake.

I made a friend walking home

I was walking home from the gas station by my house and I saw this cool bird land on a fence right next to me and got to get pretty close to it so I took a picture as close as I could without him flying up to me lol. I believe it is a red shouldered hawk. Can anyone tell me for sure? What would you guys rate this picture out of 10? I’m just taking pics on my phone for my kids mainly
