My little Deathmark kitbash

I just couldn't stand the original posing of the deathmarks so I did some plastic surgery and here we are!

Basically chopped the legs up into hips, thigh calf foot

Reposed to be cool

Used the right arm from standard warrior to get the rifle higher

Then extended the left hand to reach the rifle again

+ tactical obligatory tactical rock

Want to make my first 1000pt army (Necrons)

So, as the title states I want to build my first ever 1000pt army and I would like to go with Necron's.
Unfortunately, no one local plays combat patrol matches so I need to get to 1000pts.

I got myself an Imotekh the Stormlord because I like the character and the model and I can get myself to 1000pts with him and two combat patrol boxes if I wanted to do it as cheap as possible (with new models) of course some second hand deals could come along.

So, While I am not interested in the meta I haven't even looked up the meta because it changes so often I am interested in how I could build 1000pts a little better than just two combat patrols and Imotekh mainly bang for buck and easy to pilot.

So, what do you guys recommend for units to fill out a list if I would get one combat patrol and use Imotekh.

There are 465pts to play with.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions guys.

What’s more worth it

Buying the new necron host box for around 220 dollars or the necron half of the indomitus box for the same price I’m completely new so idk what’s good

Phaerons and Triarchs, I present a teaser.

I have received something truly special. Something truly terrifying.

As it happens, my local Apocalypse group has homebrew Titan rules. And those rules now include Xenos War Machines ;)

Keep an eye out for updates.

First Victory in 11th

A glorious first game of 11th last night. I took Annihalation Legion against my friend's Thousand sons in a 1k match up. A close fought game until T4 & t when my Skorpekh brick with Lord tipped the scales. I've swapped out the Wraiths and 5 immortals for another 6 Skorpekh brick as they really do a lot of work.

Shootout to my Triarch Stalker for chasing and bullying Zangor's on discs for 4 turns, denying my friend his right flank attack.

Potential new player

I'm an AoS player that mainly likes to play Spearhead with my brother and/or friends, but am interested in exploring the 40K side of GW's game systems as well.

From what I've read online and saw on Youtube, Combat Patrol is the most equivalent game mode of Spearhead in terms of size, so I would like to start there.

How good/interesting are the Necrons to play in this mode and what other Combat Patrols have fun interaction with them? I'd like to potentially get Necrons since they're my absolute favorite looking army from 40K, but also another box for my brother and friends to play with.

Necrons absolutely Can play Purge: A review of Cursed Legion in 11th Edition

Before I get into this, my backup that I know what I'm talking about: I went 61-30 in tournament games across 10th edition, all but 12 of which were on Necrons. At my highest ELO ranking, I was 700th global. My highest ITC rank was in 2024, at which point I was in the top 100 Necron players by global rank and top 10% of all tournament players. Anyway.

In 11th edition, I know a lot of us are very excited about how the metal skeletons will play the various missions that are coming down the pipe. Some of the dispositions will be stronger than others, but right now I think 4 of the 5 are probably pretty okay (sorry Disruption). With our three strongest detachments* running T&H and PA, I have seen some folks bemoaning our damage and fragility in our Purge-focused detachments (CL, PoW) and worrying that we will have a difficult time competing in the Purge category if it becomes dominant. I am here to dispel your fears.

I've been playing CL since it dropped, and have 20 games so far in 11th edition on the detachment. This detachment absolutely slaps, folks! So far I am 15-5 between practice games and playing in ATC 8-mans this past weekend, and only two of those games have felt truly unwinnable (triple chickens plus Be'lakor was throwing me on a sword, and I fell on it mightily). Our big damage pieces being OC 2 helps in a bunch of matchups that might be difficult with other armies' heavy hitters - we can contest objectives and kill you off 'em.

Some of the things 11th brought us that makes playing CL feel good: Being able to throw flexibility to the winds and just going full send on destroyer cult murder hoboing feels fantastic and thematic. The smaller number of action secondaries removes one of the big holdbacks we saw in 10th, removing 250 points of action monkeys is a huge win to the narrow playstyle that PtF needs to do well. Being able to put 1000 pts of Strat Reserves in the air means that you can put two max Skorp squads in the air, which makes their positioning much easier. Skyshroud letting you throw Assault on Lokhust Bricks frees up Adv+Charge for the Skorpekh Bricks as well.

Things that I have faced that made the detachment feel bad: We remain incredibly fragile, and some of the other purge armies that are big in the meta (right now, I know that the edition is only two weeks old) can play even narrower/chunkier than we can. I really don't like Punishment as a mission, but that may just be a personal thing. It's very scoreable.

The single biggest change is hidden. I know that because of the army, we have to show up on top of the enemy and 15" doesn't matter much at that point, but the opportunities to stage barely outside the movement range of a full brick makes lining up potentially simple charges really easy - and if they move away so it isn't quite as easy, then they don't shoot you. Projected threat is almost as good as real threat, or so I'm told. 12" lone op on any unit that you can hide well is awesome when the whole army is on 50s and up.

So fear not, fellow destroyer lovers. We've got options this edition, and I'm feeling pretty great!

“A fine addition to my collection”

Had to make a little collection of trophies for this character since lightsabers don’t exist in the 40K universe, running his as a Royal Warden for my next casual game! C+C welcome, cheers Phareons!

First Necron!

Got this guy off eBay with a broken staff for cheap and had to improvise with some old 3d printed bits. Very happy to begin collecting more after testing these colors out!

Grimdark-ish Necrons

Just finished repainting these in my new grimdark-ish scheme.

Went for a darker and colder look, and although execution can be improved, it's the first time I am truly happy with the result 😁

Only thing I am not entirely sure about is the basing 🤔

Despite being happy with the result, I would appreciate ideas and comments 🙏
