I like this blue dusty look and dessert base

Nearly finished with my take on Illuminor Szeras, glad I went with not having the guy having his brains sucked out on the model. My custom idea of him extracting energy from crystals worked better than I imagined.

I'm looking for color schemes for my necron army I am starting....I like this almost greenish/black/gunmetal color. Anyone have an idea what color it is or how to achieve this? Chat gtp gave me a suggestion but idk if that is right.

A buddy of mine just got me into Warhammer 40K. I was an avid MTG player for years but stopped playing because the constant card rotations and my competitive habits made it very expensive and frustrating for me.

I really missed making friends at tournaments and local games, and when I watched a video of him playing, I was in. Never would have thought that I would enjoy the painting so much but I outsourced the gluing to my craft master wife 😂.

After two weeks of acquiring, building and painting; here is what my army looks like.

I still have a nightbringer to finish assembly, two doomsday arks, tomb blades, Szeras, and ophydian destroyers in the box, two technomancers, a reanimator, two cryptothralls and an overlord to paint.

Feel comfortable with the basics of the rules, just in time to relearn them for 11th.

Looking forward to joining our metal overlords.

Hello fellow Phaerons! Bought a small lot that had a single menhir in it and decided to try and turn it into a ctan shard don't play with anyone other than friends so I just slapped it on a 60mm base instead of the proper 60mm flight base. Any criticism is welcome.

So yeah, finally got round to painting the man (metal man ?) Himself.
Never working with that finecast resin crap again 😂 what a nightmare !
I hope he gets the ol' update treatment soon, he really needs it and we all want it. Let's be honest.

Side note: I used GSW's colour shift metal paint on his cloak, let me know if the shift in hues are visible to you. I've been staring at him for too long haha

I’m aware he blends into the terrain on the base a bit (my whole Necron army is stone themed) but I’m ok with that.

Last unit in a army commission I did for a friend. Very happy with both him and The Silent King as the big boss models 🙂
