My pick is She Comes From Nowhere. Although I enjoy the official cover I love this photo from its promotion - the reds and browns and all are just so pleasing a colour scheme. (this for a hypothetical deluxe issue 🙂‍↕️)

Honourable mention to Bad Baby - except its particular orangish red has greatly grown on me.

A few words on the early career rap project Gemmy was the vocalist of, 'Les La Britanica'...

I only got around to checking out the first album, Soft Swerve, through Bandcamp recently, as it seems to not be available anywhere else. I thought it was... challenging. That is a kinder way of saying terrible. BUT the ironic enjoyment was off the charts because several songs are just hilarious, and with the very obvious M.I.A., Ke$ha and general late 00s pop influence, I found it impossible to truly hate.

Have you taken the time to listen yet? What do you think? If not, do, as I believe every lightly masochistic Gemmy fan should...
