Skin Observations

°Acne & Breakouts

°A few active pimples/pustules visible, particularly around the nose and cheek area

°Some minor inflammation in spots indicating mild to moderate acne

Oily Skin (Seborrhea)

°The skin appears to have a slight sheen/oiliness, especially on the nose and forehead — common in the T-zone

Open Pores

°Visibly enlarged pores around the nose area, which often accompanies oily skin

Minor Hyperpigmentation / Dark Spots

°A couple of small dark marks that could be post-acne marks (PIH - Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)

Uneven Skin Tone

°Slight unevenness in complexion, likely from sun exposure or acne scarring

Current skincare rotation for dehydrated and sensitive skin

Skin Type: Dehydrated & Highly Sensitive

Hi everyone! My routine is mostly focused on calming irritation, keeping my barrier healthy, and adding hydration without making my skin feel heavy.

Here’s my current skincare rotation with mini reviews. I only give 10/10 ratings to products I genuinely can’t fault, so you won’t find any random 8s or 9s here.

Cleansers

  • Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm: I use this to remove makeup. Works well and rinses off easily. (10/10)
  • La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream: Cleans my skin without leaving it stripped or tight. (10/10)

Toner

  • COSRX Propolis Synergy Toner: Hydrating, lightweight, and genuinely effective for dehydration lines. (10/10)

Serums

  • The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: I only use this at night and mix it with plenty of moisturizer because my skin finds it too strong otherwise. That’s worked really well for my texture and glow. (10/10)
  • SKIN1004 Poremizing Fresh Ampoule: Didn’t notice much difference with this one. (5/10)

Moisturizers & Extras

  • COSRX Propolis Light Cream: One of my favorite moisturizers. Gives a nice glow without sitting heavily on the skin. (10/10)
  • Smooth E Gold Advanced Skin Recovery Cream: Picked this up in Thailand and ended up really liking it. It does have a noticeable scent, which I usually dislike in skincare, but I still find it very calming. (10/10)
  • COSRX Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizer: Simple, reliable, and works well for my skin barrier. (10/10)
  • Celimax Retinal Shot: I only use this twice a week to avoid irritating my skin, and that’s been working well for me so far. (10/10)
  • Skintific AHA BHA PHA LHA: I use this once a week and surprisingly it doesn't irritate or sensitize my skin at all. (10/10)

Sunscreens & Lip Care

  • Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk: Lightweight and sits really nicely under makeup. (10/10)
  • SKIN1004 Air-Fit Sunscreen: Leaves a bit of a white cast, but it doesn’t irritate my skin at all. (10/10)
  • Cathy Doll 2% Hyaluron Lip Masks: Very hydrating and comfortable overnight. (10/10)

Hope this helps anyone else navigating dehydrated, sensitive skin! I'd love to know: what's been game-changing for your skin type? Also curious if anyone here is dealing with Kathmandu pollution too. My skin definitely takes a hit from it, so I’d love to know what’s been working for you. <3

How do you guys get your tretinoin? Is it prescription based or able to get otc in Nepal?

I’ve seen many people get from India since it’s really cheap there but how? The prescription based tret over here is too expensive 😭

My skin journey throughout the years.

If you’re in a skincare journey, I highly recommend you journal it through photos. You will realize how far you have come❤️

Aja biyan euta photo memories ma aayo which pushed me to make this post. I was diagnosed with grade 2 acne vulgaris, and after multiple derm visits, I decided to take matters onto my own hands, research on my own (which also led me to make this community since I couldn’t find one specifically dedicated to nepalis).

Once I have some time I will share my journey as well. I try to redact myself as much as possible 🤣 so sorry for the weird photo. No filters has been used and I tried to attach photos with different lighting so that you can see different textures of my skin.

Ps: photo ko order milena recha lol but too lazy to reedit
