I just want to start off by saying this is one of the greatest jar wraps I’ve seen.
When I finally cracked the jar I got hit with gas/pine/mint and a sweetness I wasn’t really expecting. The sweet aroma threw me off a little bit because I wasn’t expecting it to be that strong but still smells like animal face. Flavor translates well you get more of the gas/pine on the inhale and more sweet mint on the exhale. I would say potency is certainly there as to be expected with animal face. Effects are euphoric head high and very heavy in the eyes. Two dabs has me fried for hours. This is one of the smoothest dabs I’ve experienced from nj dispo rosin. While this is very good rosin it’s still $77 before tax from soulflora and even more other places. I’m not sure of the microns but it seems like it’s full spec and if this was special run I wish it was 90-120 or 90-149. Overall well done by harvestworks and bass river.
I'm curious what you guys are hoping will be in the Best in Grass kits or if you already know whats in them. What brands or strains are you looking forward to trying? And I'm also curious if anyone is going to be purchasing any of the kits. I purchased the Indica flower kit last year at Valley Wellness. I was mostly happy with it. There was maybe about 4 products that were very disappointing. I mean, it was just fun judging and trying different brands and strains. What are you guys doing? Let me know.
Picked this one up from Pure Blossom for 48 dollars otd. The bud feels really dense but it is really fluffy. Good texture. Definitely smell apple on this one, its an awesome smell but can best be described on the back of the jar which is cool…..Ok just broke this up with my fingers and the texture is amazing to me. Also upon breaking up the apple pie smell gets a real stank tire/rubber smell. This stuff is 10/10. Rolled in a raw paper taste on the dry hit is legit apples and rubber stank. I think this strain is amazing and Brighterside knocked this out of the park. I’m glad i grabbed Permanent Marker from them too. I get that most people wont buy this at 65 an eighth but if its on sale for less than 50 this is a must grab. Brighterside never disappoints , and their terps are fire regardless of low numbers.
3.5 gm mylar. Open it has nose of orange and lemon blossoms , mothballs and earth woodsy scent. Buds are sticky and about 0.5 gm with proper moisture Grinds well and rolled in a genuine Bambu paper it burns even with a white grey ash. Taste is proper. I got notes of orange, lemon, camphor and fermenting hops. Effects were a slow and steady body high. Relieved a headache I had. IMHO this is a very good tasting and smelling strain . Good to smoke and go about your daily business. Total terpines %1.64 THC %20 fifty dollars at Blue Violets Hoboken.

Update: I went with Cereal Milk and Musk 1. I only planned to get 1 but a full oz from a decent brand for less than $100, I couldn't resist.

Picked this one up from Plantopia in Englishtown after watching Niche sweep the NJ Cannabis Cup earlier this year, so I had to see for myself if the hype actually holds up.
Bag Appeal
This is genuinely one of the frostiest nugs I have picked up in a while. Under close macro shots the trichome coverage is almost overwhelming, the bud looks nearly white in certain lighting with just a hint of green and some darker purple hues peeking through underneath. The structure is dense and compact with a nice tight bud shape.
Texture
One thing that stood out immediately was how soft the bud felt in hand. Not dry, not crumbly, just a nice pillowy give to it when you press into it slightly, which usually points to a proper moisture level and a clean cure process. It broke apart easily without turning to dust, which is exactly what you want.
Smell
Cracking it open releases a sweet candy aroma with berry notes layered underneath, and a little something fruity riding along as well. Makes sense once you know the genetics, this is a cross of Runtz and The Original Z.
Grind and Structure
Grinds down clean and even, sticky enough to coat the grinder teeth. No seeds, no stems, no shake filler, just consistent flower all the way through.
Burn
Burned smooth and even from start to finish with no canoeing or uneven charring. Ash stayed a clean white throughout which is generally a solid sign of a proper cure and flush. No harsh crackling, no coughing fits, just a steady relaxed burn the whole way down.
Flavor
Sweet on the inhale with that signature candy note front and center, mellowing into something a bit earthier on the exhale. Never turned harsh even deeper into the session, which made it easy to keep coming back for another hit.
Effects
This is where Blue Nerdz really delivered. The body relaxation set in first, that heavy sink into your seat kind of feeling. My eyes felt it almost immediately too, that classic low lidded look came on fast. Mentally though it stayed uplifting rather than foggy, more of a genuine mood boost layered on top of the physical relaxation. I put some music on during the session and it noticeably sounded better, more depth and detail than usual, which is always a fun marker of a well balanced high doing exactly what it should.
Value
Picked this up for $48 after Plantopia’s Friday 20% off flower deal, down from $60 originally. Given the potency, the trichome density, and the overall polish of the experience, that price feels completely justified, especially with Niche riding this much momentum right now.
Final Score: 9/10
This one earns the hype. The visual alone is enough to make you want to try it, and the effects backed it up in every way, from the relaxed body to the uplifted head to music genuinely sounding richer while under the influence. If you come across Blue Nerdz on a shelf near you, this is a confident recommendation to grab it.
Niche also had a pop up going on during this visit, and picking up their flower got us a $1 Goodies 2.5g bag added on, which is a pretty solid little bonus.
Plantopia (Englishtown) — Quick Take
Smooth visit overall, good deal timing with the Friday flower discount plus the Niche pop up made this trip well worth it. Staff was helpful, menu had solid variety, and stacking that discount with the Goodies bonus made for a genuinely great value run. Worth checking their weekly deals before you go, they rotate and can make a real difference in what you walk out with.
TL;DR: perfectly cromulent weed
Buds are rock hard dense and foxtaily but with a thick coating of mature trichomes. Moisture is good and it break up well. The bags are a bit small and kinda mangle things but they’re moving up to larger bags in the near future.
Smell is bubblegum that gives way to a spicy mint. It’s interesting and has a bunch of different notes that you can mull over. The taste is more peppery mint like arugula.
Effects were very slow to come on but are nice and relaxing. Slow, heavy body and eyes that, if you keep the session short, won’t end your night. I can definitely see this creeping up and suplexing you into bed if you’re not careful though.
A review for this strain is kinda pointless bc everyone knows it great but I decided to do one anyways lol
Bud smells and tastes like fruity garlic. It’s covered in triches, even the stem is covered in crystals.
Insanely strong, heavy eyelids and full couch lock.
29.7% THC and 6.18 Terps! This is the first time I’ve seen a flower that has 3 different Terps over 1%. Picked it up at The Social Leaf in South TR for $37.50 with a 10% discount and rewards points.
TL;DR: somebody got weed in my purple
Buds are chunky with good moisture and density. There is a thick but leggy coating of trichomes and the deep purple color is punctuated by bright orange.
Smell is sweet citrus and fuel/earth. Taste is very citrusy. It’s not my favorite terp profile as the citrus comes across as very orange/grapefruit for me.
Effects are mild but pleasant. Good mood elevation and a general relaxation. This would be great for a large hang out where you don’t want to get fried - it’s like a light beer (respectfully).
3.5 gm mylar. Open it has nose of fermenting citrus , a stale beer skunk and oak. Three 1gm nuggets and a few bits.Nice color of light green and orange pistils covered in trichomes. Proper most and spongy. Rolled in a genuine Bambu it burns even with a white grey ash. Taste, on a dry pull It tasted of guanabana / soursop and that translated in taste . A few other flavors I can't put a name to . Effects were rapid and a bit bit relaxing without disturbing creativity . I believe this one is a home run . Looks nice. It stank when I broke the seal on the bag. Grinds nice . A proper hodgepodge of flavor. Total terpines %3.01 THC %23. $50 Blue Violets Hoboken
Smell is typical GG4, glue terps, earthy, some tea. Taste is similar. Effects are sativa dominant. I may be biased as I’ve been smoking alot of GG4 and tbh I’m tired of it. Not my favorite offering from 710, but people who want GG4 its the real deal

Buds are sticky and nicely dense with a thick coating of trichomes. Purples, greens, and oranges give it a poppy look.
Smell is like an astringent lemony marker and the taste is similar. It’s pleasant and you pick up different notes each time you go back.
Effects are deceiving and fairly heavy. It was euphoric and mentally stimulating at first before flipping into a heavy head high. Great for exploring fractals and string theory, bad for basic addition.
3.5 gm mylar. Open it has a smell of coffee grind, Umeshu and wood chips. Buds are several nuggets that weigh + - 0.5 each proper texture and quite sticky. Breaks up like tobacco and rolled in genuine Bambu paper it burns even with a white grey ash. Taste is a smooth sweet and sour almost skunk like Girl Scout Cookies . Effects hit fast and was good for a headache and some relaxation, however full effects wore off fast. Not unusual for a high THC strain IMO. I bought this a couple of weeks past and put off opening it until I ripped up a few older opens. Shi is sticky AF from a May harvest. Tastes good , got me lit up with no regrets.
