Newport not as busy?

Anyone else in Newport for around the 4th right now notice it’s not as busy as previous years? I’ve come here the past 3 years around the same dates and it’s always packed. Now the streets are barely busy at night, and not nearly as busy during the day this year. Any opinions on why?

Best place to find a guy?

I’m 19 F just moved back to the area and I know I can’t go to bars so I’m kind of stuck here. The whole dating app idea is awful to me so I’m curious what people think is a good way to meet people/ a guy around here.

Pickleball

Hey guys, I’m a 27 M who just moved to the area. Was hoping someone knows of a place to play pickleball besides the indoor club or if anyone would be down to swing around a bit! Definitely an amateur so hopefully you are too haha.

Rainy days

What are your go to activities or things to do in general on rainy days? I feel like I’ve wasted the last 48 hours of my life…

Obviously bars or going out to eat but anything else would be appreciated

AVOID BOOKING KENEATH/NETH DEL MORAL MANAGED PROPERTIES

WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!

Please avoid po LUXURY HOTEL TYPE HOTEL listings in newport. There's nothing luxury about this place! If you booked in this place they will not take you in eventhpugh you have a confirmed and paid booking because staff will want you to call the owner/manager first which is this Neth del moral. And oh my goodness she is so UNPROFESSIONAL and IGNORANT!!! NO response at all!! There was a review that also says she didn't respond because she on vacation!!! Can't they find a hired person to cater to the guest? Reviews also says many had to wait for HOURS before checking in because she wouldn't answer her phone. What happened to us is we can't afford to wait for her for HOURS because we came from a very long flight and already exhausted. The staff is also unfriendly doesn't want to deal with the guest. We paid through agoda, did not get an accommodation and there's no accountability from the owner at all. Staright up scam!!!! It's like robbery in day light. If you had positive experience with her place then good for you but not for many of us unfortunately. No ampunt of comfort will make us feel better. We paid and treated like trash by the property.

unironically looking for friends

Hello, I have been here working for a little over a month now and have yet to make any friends here. I am a very social and outgoing but I am working a lot so have not had much free time. This feels so sad and desperate but I lowkey don’t care because I just want to have a fun summer so please comment if you are also in Newport this summer and in college!
