so due to the weather and the fact that it's storming an hour prior to the event time does anyone know if it's still going on or got cancelled?

Who remembers back in the late 70s early 80s Huntington park in newport news having fire works and games for ribbons and stuff like that we would go there like all day and see the fire works at night ?

Hey guys- My mother is disabled, so it would be very difficult getting her down to Victory Landing for the July 4th event. Does anyone know another park or even parking lot we can see them? I haven’t lived in Newport News for over 10yrs, so my memory of where we could go is kinda hazy.

I’m completely new to skateboarding and I am aware of the parks in the area, but I am looking for spots that I can go around and just practice very basic cruising so I can get the fundamentals down and where it won’t be frowned upon. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Looking for a home there now. I know schools aren't the best and we will be having kids in the future. The other thing that's sorta keeping me away is the HOA fees and fear of those going up all the time.

That said, I heard it's a very safe area, convenient, and overall a nice community being near a golf course and all.

Any input/advice for anyone who's lived there? How was your experience?

i’m potentially buying a house and the school zone is Yates Elementary/Gildersleeve Middle/Menchville High. i have a baby and im mostly concerned with elementary school at the moment (who knows if we will still be here by the time he’s in high school). anyone have personal experience with Yates?

Hey, my husband landed a job at Newport News. Unfortunately, we won’t be in Virginia until we actually move there so we won’t be able to tour any complexes in person.

We are looking to spend around $1500 or a little more for a two bedroom. Looking for any suggestions or places to stay away from. If we are being too cheap for what we are asking please let me know!

My boyfriend (military) and I are in our early 20’s and planning on moving in together soon, but so far the ones I’ve seen seem to have below 2 star ratings :/

Our top musts are that it’s in a safe area, below $1,100 rent per month, and preferably in the Hampton area.

Any non ocean front recommendations? Any recommendations so I don’t have to cross the bridge? I skate everyday so I prefer not having to cross the bridge! Thanks
