Any tips for getting 250 familiars in Wrath of the White Witch?

I'm in the post-game on NNK1. I have only tamed 110 familiars in total out of the required 250 for the trophy. I actually beat the story a long time ago, but never got the Platinum because I was struggling with catching familiars. I have noticed that catch rates seem very low for me across the board. I am just wondering if there are any optimal ways to do it. I think I read something a while ago that evolving weak familiars is better than just trying to catch them all, but I'm not sure if that's right.

Question about star signs in the first game

I am on my road to the second city of the game, and enter a figth with a skeleton that has the moon star sign. The game says that sun(red)>moon(green)>star(blue)>sun, but both when my sun and star familiars deal damage through the attack comand it is displayed with blue numbers(less effective), and when he hits either familier, the numbers are red(very effective, I think). Can someone please explain what's up?

Also i am sorry for any grammatical errors

Best glitches/exploits/strategies

Hey! I just started up my first playthrough of ni no kuni: wrath of the white witch, and I was wondering what glitches/exploits/strategies exist, if any, for version 1.0.0 onwards (max money, etc). To those who say, "It's a single player game, you're ruining it", this is how I prefer to play single player games so I don't feel constrained.

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe...

Don't fuck with Oliver.

(P.S. Shadar says at the end "don't think you've defeated me yet!" in Japanese. I don't remember if this is also used in the final battle.)

HARD Mode! (For PC)

Would you like to re-experience the first Ni No Kuni in HARD mode?

I tried tweaking the game and made it 1.5 times harder: You receive 50% more damage and deal 50% less. The game is now SUPER satisfying! This forces you to quest and grind a bit more before attempting new dungeons, and also thoroughly understand the game's mechanics. Every new area is NOTICEABLY more difficult. Kind of reminds me of dark souls when I feel a rush of adrenaline after finally beating down a boss. 10/10.

The downside is that companions die even faster because their AI is not very good.

download it here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/uysqcl5kp5m0d4z/GameDataController.0.0.201a.nutb/file place the file in Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch™ Remastered\data\script\system\controller

Note: this changes the difficulty NO matter what settings you choose. If you want to revert back to easy or nomal, keep a backup of the original GameDataController file.

Credit goes to sweetpeasprite on Gamebanana for discovering how to tweak the difficulty in the first place. Their mod can be found here for 1.2 difficulty mod. https://gamebanana.com/mods/622671

Any way to avoid trash fights?

I'm like 6 h in and got to the Golden Grove. The game is pretty cool (although the the handholding is a bit much atp), love the art and storytelling, but the mindnumbing unavoidable trash fights drive me nuts. I just did probably at least 30 trash fights back to back while exploring Golden Grove - literally I defeat the monster, make 3 steps to check the nook for chests, turn around and it has already respawned. They are all the same, so I just sit there mashing buttons just to go from point A to point B and then rinse and repeat because surely we're backtracking again for the lil spirit who wants to show us his new cool spell.

And I can't quit and return when I am more in the mood for that, because you can't save in "dungeons".

So, is there any way to avoid the mind-numbing repetitive trash fights so I can at least navigate in peace instead of force-grinding? Or will it be further in the game? In dungeons I can't even ran away because narrow passages, I just position myself to disadvantage.

The art and the spirit of the game are so charming but the trash fights just drive me crazy. I encountered the exact same battle mechanics in Digimon Cyber Sleuth and probs was one of the reasons I just DNF-ed at certain point, and I really want to play this game.

Ni No Kuni 2 - I wish I could disable Higgledies when exploring the maps.

I want them in battle but I wish they would go away when running around because they constantly are just teleporting. Running around I constantly hear their teleport sound. It is actually starting to annoy me when playing.

I wish the game just let them keep up with the party and didn't have the random chance of them tripping. It's easy to get into a loop where you hear a teleport every other or two seconds because by the time they finish the teleport animation they are far enough away to teleport again.
