best online coaching for uceed?

i prepared mostly for jee mains btech and barch this year (12th) and i will probably go to an architecture college. but i want to take a partial drop and prepare for uceed aswell. (i might also give nid, nift and jee paper 2 again but my main goal is uceed) so i can probably only do online coaching and want to know which would be the best option. im ready to work super hard and need serious advice on this. i never prepared for design exams seriously these two years and focused on btech but that didnt work out and now ive decided this is for me so i really want to do my best and get an iit. pls suggest the perfect coaching for me. Giving NID is worth it?

Hey,(18 pcb) i have my interest in painting and drawing since childhood specifically more towards portrait as u can see😅but i can to other still life sketches too. I have ny hands on watercolor and colour pencils.

Drawing and painting have been the most exiteing part of my childhood and they are. I do wish to carry it forward

But when i think about it i feel like even if i get in it would create a financial burden on my family and most probably i will have to take entirely loan

Thats why govt jobs seems easy going and cheap

Idk i just feel like sharing it

Rn i am preparing for college (ba socio or journalism-this is entirely different story)

I hoped u liked themmm!!!

Thankyou for readinggg!!🌸

Is bdes really worth it??

I’ve really wanted to pursue a B.Des, but the fee structure in most colleges is incredibly high, and it's making me second-guess everything.

My parents are now saying that a B.Des isn't even worth the effort or the money. Their main argument is that design isn't exactly a "traditional degree"—they see it more as a skill or a course that you can learn on your own at any point in time, build a portfolio, and still get into the industry.

At this point, I honestly don't know if I should even consider B.Des as an option anymore. When I look at the ROI and the sheer cost of the degree, their logic kind of makes sense. But on the other hand, I feel like I might miss out on the structured learning, college environment, networking, and campus placements

Please vacate your seats after round 4

Hi everyone ,
An earnest request to all who have secured admission in NIDs and other institutes and streams and don’t intend to take admission in colleges allotted through UCEED counselling -kindly withdraw after the 4th round so that other students can benefit and the seats in IIT/IIITDMJ don’t go vacant.

For students appearing NID, this is for you all…

As someone who dove into this deep and dark ocean without a damn clue, I faced a lot of challenges preparing for this exam. NID exam is as unpredictable as the weather. I gave NID last year, and boy was it a turbulent phase of my life.

I prepared for this exam for almost 2 years. 1 and a half year of my preparation, I was fully focused on sketching and compositions, hoping that in 40% that was allotted for DAT prelims, I could somehow pull it off since my biggest weakness was material handling which was the situation test and had a 60% weightage. But, things took a wild turn when NID threw the ultimate bomb just 2-3 months before the prelims. The damn elimination. NID made a new change that there would only be a selection of 600-650 students to the NID mains. I am not lying when I say, that scared me. The exam was in December and this whole change was honestly very stressful for me. You would ask, why are you scared? Well that is because even if I cleared the Prelims, what if I fluke the mains? That was what scared me the most, because to be honest. I had 0 interest in UCEED (which I reluctantly did give) and NIFT (which thank god I didn’t give). And since I had no interest in those 2, I had to get into NID no matter what. But…on the day of the prelims was the other surprise bomb. NID made the whole paper a 100% drawing paper, removing GAT (honestly a phew for me cuz my GAT was pretty awful okay!) but yeah that took everyone by surprise, but the questions. God, those mind boggling questions just were. I can’t even get explain how they were and how I felt solving it.

How I approached this challenge? Well being scared, was one part, but you have to just accept it and take it with the stride (even though I knew if I failed I was gonna be cooked ULTRA PRO MAX by both my parents) but yeh. I tried to improve my hands on skills (now they are way wayyyyy better than the trainwreck I was) and put my best foot forward. I gave NID like my life depended on it, which honestly it did because, I kinda rebelled against my parents by doing bad in UCEED and not appearing for NIFT altogether, so yeah, and also NID has always been my dream college to get into.

But from my experience, here are my takeaways:
- sketch EVERYDAY!! Like seriously sketch or scribble, just do it!
- explore variety of materials and go back to those old craft videos you used to do as kids, it really helps!!
- research and explore about the different disciplines, it helps you know which exam you want to give.
- for NID please don’t focus much on your colouring, just good sketching and shading really helps you a lot.
- TIME MANAGEMENT, I kid you not, in this exam in a blink of an eye 3 hours fly by, so you gotta manage your time and speed.

Hope you all find this helpful!! Wish to see a lot of yall in NID and be your senior ()
(P.S if yall wondering if I got into NID, yes I did, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing to yall here.)

Please help mail UCEED team to extend round 5 deadline

Anyone who had been looking forward to getting IIT/IIITDM, please mail this at uceed@iitb.ac.in please, thats our only last hope except asking nid, nift aspirants to leave us please.

Subject: Request for Extension of Final UCEED Seat Allocation Round

Body: Dear UCEED Admissions Committee,

I would like to respectfully request consideration for extending the final UCEED seat allocation round until after 3 July, given the overlap with the ongoing counselling processes of NID and NIFT.

Many candidates who have secured UCEED seats are also awaiting admission outcomes from these institutions. As a result, some may continue holding their allotted UCEED seats until other counselling processes conclude, potentially leading to withdrawals only after the UCEED admission process has ended. This could leave seats vacant despite there being eligible candidates willing to accept them.

For candidates on the waiting list, especially those whose ranks are close to previous years' closing ranks, an extension by a few days could improve seat movement and help ensure that available seats are filled efficiently.

If extending the schedule is not feasible, I would be grateful if the committee could consider any alternative mechanism, such as an additional allocation or spot round, to fill seats that may become vacant later.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate the efforts of the UCEED team and hope this request can be taken into account.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
UCEED 2025 Candidate
Rank (optional)

How to make any drawing look more storytelling?

Hi! I am a design aspirant ( special focus on NID) and many sir and students who have qualified the exam told me to make ur work look more storytelling even when the scenario is of street vendor or anything else. But my question is how do we do that? ( I could have asked ai but I think real people who experienced it might know more and better and would explain to me)

(Also is it true that in NID prelims one question should be attempted in 15 mins?)
