[SPOILERS, LOL] The story of Harry Stone's birth

In season 6, episode 19 "From Snoop to Nuts," Buddy finally reveals that he is Harry Stone's real father. But the story doesn't seem to make sense. Buddy says that Harry was born in a mental institution, the offspring of Harry's mother and Buddy. Buddy goes on to reveal that Harry's mother got out of the institution BEFORE Buddy did, and by the time Buddy got out, Harry's mom was already with Harry SENIOR. Buddy said Harry Sr. "seemed like a nice enough guy." The story ends up with Harry figuring out that he was named after Harry SENIOR.

But if Judge Stone was born BEFORE his mom even MET Harry Sr., then how could he have been named after Harry Sr. -- a person she had not even met yet at the time of Harry Jr.'s birth? Did she NOT name Harry Jr. until much later than after his birth? Did they name Harry Jr.'s something else and then CHANGE to Harry Jr. later? Is this the result of Buddy being an unreliable source due to being a little nutty? I'd chalk it up to bad writing, but all of these facts come out in the SAME CONVERSATION and scene.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Harry was known as the prankster but Mac absolutely had his moments

Donna needs a nose job

So I'm watching Series 8, episodes 1 & 2 ( A Family Affair ), and it turns out that Dan's sister Donna is played by Susan Diol, who played Audrey in "The Nose Job" ( Seinfeld Series 3, episode 9 ). Audrey was Jerry's girlfriend until Kramer told her to get a nose job, which she did. Leading her to dump Jerry for Kramer.

Mac appreciation thread!

Played to perfection by Charles Robinson, Mac is the straight foil to the others' individual idiosyncrasies while also having his own sense of humor. Plus, his sartorial taste is beyond reproach ❤️.

Plus, he and Quon Li are a fantastic double act, with each offering much heart and humanity to balance the antics, zany, straightforward, multifaceted, and/or otherwise.

Remove Mac and the show wouldn't meld so well. Actually, that's true for any character but it's hardest to remove the galvanizing foil.

Wrong answers only, what's Christine thinking?

"Why can't I be on the Enterprise with Dr Crusher instead? At least I'd blend in with this outfit there!"

Question about Halloween Too

Just started watching Night court for the first time, really enjoying it so far. I just got to Halloween Too and have a question.

At the beginning, Harry mentions someone (Dan) dressed as the Moral Majority for a previous Halloween, and apparently there was some controversy about it.

I'm not American, could someone explain what happened there?

Don't mess with Roz

Season 7 definitely feels refreshing and bolder in sight gags, this episode started with a real bang about Roz discussing being at target practice to Mac, who first thought she needed more practice. Nope, that's just her warning shot 😂

Really tall uncredited defendant season 4 episode 14

In the episode The Modest Proposal, Harry motions a defendant held over for a “higher court” as a joke about his outrageous height, before walking him back to holding, Bull asks him if he’s got a sister. IMDb was useless, Google AI kept steering me back to Richard Moll. Anyone have any insight?

Only Dan and Bull were in every episode

There are 193 of Night Court. IMDb says that Harry Anderson was in all of them, but that's not true. Only Dan and Bull were present for every episode of the series.

Harry is not in the season 9 episode, "Guess Who's Listening to Dinner" when Dan wants to break up with a mobster's daughter and takes Christine to the dinner while wearing a wire.

Harry's absence is explained early on. Mac mentions to Christine he had a cold, and Christine remarks that she's surprised he's still sick and she gave him chicken soup. Mac tells her he doesn't have a cold anymore, but food poisoning.

Not sure why Harry Anderson was not available for that episode, but I love the explantation. Especially since we know Christine isn't a great cook. She gave the courthouse food poisoning once before when she cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the yams were bad.

Why didn't Harry write more for the show?

True, always leave the audience wanting more but all of his penned and co-penned episodes (that I've seen so far) are phenomenonally funny ❤️
