Nikon F3 LCD Meter Inconsistencies

First time poster so excuse how long this may get haha.

I purchased an F3 back in February this year & it came with missing segments in the LCD Meter display (I knew about this before buying the camera). Along with that, no matter what if there's film in the camera or not (I've shot multiple rolls through the camera) It'll typically display the + & - symbol at the same time and shows 805o where the selected shutter speed goes.

However, on 2 occasions (May 27 & August 9) while shooting a roll on both days, the meter display would suddenly jump back to life and display correctly, showing my selected shutter speed and if the scene was over/underexposed. It would only last for at least up to 25-35 mins before going back to the aforementioned missing segments & 805o displaying all the time.

Both times I had the camera in a drawstring bag while walking and I'm now suspecting something is not making full contact with the lcd display if it'll come back correctly at random. If my suspicions are correct, would it be best to get the body a full CLA to see if it will fix the problem? Or is the meter a goner?

If anyone can give me a helping hand with this it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Underexposed?

I just got my film back from Italy and most of them look like this, pretty underwhelming. I’m pretty sure these were shot with Portra 400, using aperture priority. What do you think might of happened to have them look like this? Thanks
