Does anyone have kicks with the zero gravity seats? The material is so bad!!! We have only had our car for a year and the zero gravity seats stitching is always ripping apart ?! We hardly ever have anyone sitting in the back besides our toddler in a car seat on the other seat.

I’m a doctoral student, and I need a reliable car that’ll get me through work, classes, and internship for at least the next 4–5 years. I’ve found a 2024 Nissan Kicks with about 10,000 miles (corporate vehicle) for $18,000.

I’m deciding between buying this used one or saving longer for a new 2026 Kicks, which starts around $23,000.

Before anyone asks why I don’t finance: I’m intentionally trying to avoid a car payment. As I get further into my doctoral program, I’ll be in practicum/internship and upper-year students have told me that working much beyond part-time becomes very difficult. I also have student loans and other bills, so taking on a monthly car payment isn’t something I’m comfortable with. I’ve saved enough to pay cash for the used one, but not for a new one.

For those of you who own a Kicks:

Has it been reliable?

Would you buy one again?

Is $18k for a 2024 with ~10k miles a good value?

If you were in my shoes, would you buy the used one now or wait and save for a new 2026?

As the title says, I purchased a special model 2026 Kicks SR premium with 35km, a few weeks ago and realized the horn doesn't work.

Finally got it to service today and they are lost....fuses, fine, ground wire, fine, relays ok.......Horn works with direct power....They said they think it might be a relay, (relay box?) they found under the battery but no one has ever replaced or ordered that part and they arent enirly sure that's what's wrong, so they called head office and they got the schematics and reached out to Nissan.......

They want me to keep the Mazda rental they gave me, I said no thank you its 29.99 a day for insurance through them and it could take WEEEEEKS to figure out how to order/fix this random weird defect......

Anyone else have something super strange happen? What should i do?

Hi, I got a New Base 2025 Kicks SR about 3 months ago and at the time did not realize that the 2025 did not have any MyNissan app integration or remote start unless you got the premium package. Now it is standard on the 2026. For those of you that have it, is it worth it? I’m having regrets that I don’t have remote start or any app integration as a person interested in tech, but I won’t be getting a new car again anytime soon either. Do you actually find yourself using those features? Can a Nissan dealership add the features?

Going to be in the market for a car and I'm thinking of the Kicks. When are we gonna start seeing details for the 2027? Tried doing some research the other day but couldn't find anything concrete.

So I have had this kicks for about 2 months now and i have learned that with the a/c on highest setting the air flow likes to blow harder at some times then not blow as hard and this happens frequently when im driving, is this a normal thing or should i take it to my dealer

Just got my kicks s and was having a hard time finding custom headlight/tailight assemblies, do they not make custom assemblies for this car??

I got a kick at the beginning of the year and this would be my first brand new car.
I just hit 5,000 miles so I did an oil change/tire rotation but wanted to know what other things you recommend to make sure I keep this car in top condition?

Currently at 57,000 here - no issues thus far.

Worst day ever. Never made it to work because my car stopped accelerating before turning on the highway. Got it towed to the closest Nissan they said that the alternator was covered in oil and that it was probably from a lose oil cap from my last oil change which was in February and no I didn’t get it done at the dealer. So I told them my car was just towed to a Nissan at the end of April due to a broken coolant fan. They said they couldn’t do much because they aren’t owned by the same Nissan people. They told me to ask the people at that Nissan to pay for the tow.

A $300+ tow to the other Nissan later and I explained that I don’t know how if my alternator is covered in oil from a leak from a lose gas cap that no one caught it in April when it was getting checked over after being towed. They explained that is not part of the inspection they did and they aren’t responsible for an oil cap issue. I then said so an oil cap that was not put on correctly in February is now just causing havoc after my car got towed here in April for having issues which ended up being the coolant fan? You didn’t report an oil leak I haven’t seen an oil leak and now the alternator is covered in oil and it’s not covered even though my Kicks is under warranty. (Bought in August of 2023 I don’t even have 30,000 miles on it)

I know I am not a mechanic but does this make sense to anyone? If I just got my oil changed then fine ok I wouldn’t be as upset but it was changed in February. I know from research that the gaskets in Nissan kicks do have issues. I mean I felt like I was being held hostage at that point. I needed my car fixed and already towed it from one dealership to another. I was already 7 hours into the issue, had towed from one Nissan to another 17 miles away (further from home) and exhausted. I need a car for work. So I put on the red nose and got the alternator fixed because my other option? Tow again? Already reached out to Nissan customer care. Not expecting anything just feeling like a clown and hoping someone can tell me that the reason for the warranty not being covered seems odd?

We received a survey about our Kicks purchase from Nissan. Did anyone else get this?

Anyone with an older Nissan kicks having issues with a creaking sound coming from underneath car? It happens especially when I’m braking but also when I’m driving slowly but stops when I’m going higher speeds.
