Howdy all,
After a month and change of delay I've received my college graduation watch that I've been eyeing for years at this point. The Nivada Antarctic Spider 35mm is just a pitch perfect vintage recreation, and the only watch I feel balances out a 3 o'clock date window appropriately (I prefer no date or a 6 o'clock window). It's just got such an atomic/space age charm about it. My wrist is about as small as they come, so I'll need another hole punched in the band. But I'm excited to wear the hell out of it.
For context, I have just received my F77 after waiting almost four months.
Before the watch was shipped, I specifically contacted Nivada on two separate occasions to ask if it would be possible to receive a watch with a lighter-looking dial, similar to the reference photos I provided. I sent several photos to clearly show the kind of dial I was hoping for. I was told that this request had been noted and that everything possible would be done to accommodate it, especially since this was my first watch purchase and it was meant to mark a special event in my life.
However, this is what I received today.
Not only does the dial look nothing like what I specifically requested, IT DOES NOT EVEN RESEMBLE THE WATCH SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE. The result is extremely disappointing, especially after such a long wait and after having clearly communicated my expectations in advance.
The one in the box is what I got and the one on the wrist is what I asked. This is the first watch I ever bought and this is by FAR the worst experience I ever had.
Need a new bezel or a decent replacement for my nivada aviator sea diver can somebody help me where can I get one
Thanks
Based on the images, do you think this F77 fits my slim wrist profile? I’m 17.5 cm and there is a slight overhang from the lugs / a tiny gap.
I’m trying to decide if this signifies this watch doesn’t quite fit right.
In don’t feel any issue with it on the wrist. It feels like it fits.
What do you think?
I’ve been thinking about picking up an F77 Mk2 38mm with the blue basketweave dial and a date. However, it’s currently sold out on the NG website, and I can’t find it in stock anywhere else.
Do folks here know how long it takes them to restock, or maybe know where else I might be able to find one online? Have had no luck searching. Thanks!
If this breaks some sort of rule, please feel free to delete.
We just became a Nivada AD and are putting watches into the case today. As hobbyists, how deep do you expect an AD to know the history and specs? We have super knowledgable people on our team that know it in depth, but then others that wouldn't be able to explain the movement types or might not know the different collections without training.
Knowing what enthusiasts would expect walking into a store would really help us get our whole team trained up so any feedback people have would be greatly appreciated.
