Need help with openrazer

Need help with openrazer

New to linux, just installed nobara today.

Openrazer won't install correctly due to modules not building.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling openrazer, I've tried matching the kernels (not sure if I did it right though). If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Latest update just broke everything for me

Im just update and everything from my gpu its broken. I have an RTX2080 Super. I cant change the resolution to see the settings.

Update 1: When I remove the video driver, the resolution returns to normal, but when I reinstall it through Nobara Driver Manager, it becomes broken again.

Update 2: I solved downgrading my nvidia driver. Furthermore, the people here in the comments were super helpful and apparently it was a brief problem in the package of the latest kernel update. I'll wait a few days to update the driver, I prefer to prioritize the updated kernel.

FYI-Kernel update has gone out

The 7.0.9 kernel update just dropped (for me at least) as has Nvidia 595.71

Edit: Tried reinstalling drivers, nothing. No downgrade button. Uninstalled drivers, while installing beta got a hard freeze and my install is currently fried. Glad I backed up beforehand

Bad stuttering on FH6 good PC running Nobara Linux

Hello!

I recently purchased FH6 for around $120 and I have a special place in my heart for Japan as I used to be stationed there.

Loving the game, but its constantly stuttering when driving.

I recently made the switch to Linux running Nobara.

Please see my specs attached in the image.

I have a good PC, but I am CONSTANTLY getting stuttering while driving around like other people are reporting.

I had the exact same issue when running windows before switching to nobara.

I also had this issue on FH5 and just gave up on it.

I have never had this issue with any of the other 200 or 300 games I have.

Things I have tried:

-Disabling vSync

-Uncapping FPS

-Capping FPS

-Lowering Environment geometry/detail

-Literally lowering the settings all the way to their lowest

-updating, removing, and reinstalling the Mesa package

Something I'm having trouble doing:

I wanted to try to see if I can disable AMD anti-lag.

My problem is that I cannot download adrenaline as it isn't supported on nobara.

I couldn't find any way to get this fixed as I see its worked for others using adrenaline.

If you could please help me figure out how to disable AMD anti-lag on linux OR absolutely ANY other fixes it would be greatly appreciated!

I just want to make the stuttering go away.

Thanks guys!

My Steam download speeds are way slower on Linux compared to CachyOS and Windows 11

I have been on Linux since January. I did a full swap and I'm very satisfied. I started with CachyOS, which has been great but I was unable to maintain it, so I hopped to Nobara.

Seems like everything works as intended and I'm very satisfied, but one thing I can't get to work is Steam. I feel like my internet is slower in general. I have internet connection via optical fiber and I'm on a 8 Gb/s deal, which is the highest tier available in my country.

My Steam's speeds on CachyOS were between 600 to 800 Mb/s, but right now I'm stuck at ~70 Mb/s, which makes me wait over 2 hours to download a 55 GB game. I am fiddling with mods very often, so re-downloading games is a must for me. It took around ~15 minutes to download that game before.

Where do I troubleshoot? What happened between one distro hop?

I want to use Tambourine Music Player or Tauon Music Box but I don't know how

Mega noob here, please be kind.

I have already tried Tambourine and it's great but due to it being a flatpak, I can't play any music outside of the /home directory. Tauon is only available as an Arch repo.

Is there any way to get them on Nobara?

My first Nobara build (Part2)

Hiii guys im back here again with my first nobara build (don’t mind the fans copying the exact color pattern of Nobara thats a coincidence) Right now i have learned the art of dual booting and added the minegrub selector thingy.

I have now learned to use nobara for my older games, and emulators. Whereas i use windows for my modern games. Only problem is im gonna need a new ssd for more space since i split my drive into two for nobara and windows

update deletes sddm

i need help. By upgrading the system from a terminal with nobara-sync, the system eliminates sddm, and replaces it with plasma login manager. I wish it didn't happen is particularly annoying. This is because I use my own theme for sddm and I don't know the new plm in depth to give it a look that I prefer.

Keychron Launcher is not working on Linux

I am using Brave (other browsers didn't work as well) and it just does not see my keyboard. I don't have Windows to test it anywhere else. Unfortunately, it's a web-only launcher, so I'd love to fix it if possible

New to nobara

I left Windows in January, and I've been using cachy OS ever since.I installed Nobara without any problems, I just have one question. To install, for example, a browser or something like Spotify, Should I use the dnf app center or bazaar?

3 months on Nobara

Since February, I switched to Nobara. It was one of the best choices in my life. All of my games run "natively" (quote because they run via Proton-GE but it’s like it’s native). All I have to do is to add "MANGOHUD=1" in game options but it’s not necessary. If you are considering switching to Linux you can install Nobara without hesitating. Thanks to GE and the Nobara team for the work.

How does gaming on Nobara actually feel nowadays as a daily OS?

I’ve been thinking about properly trying Linux for a long time and Nobara is probably the distro that’s catching my attention the most right now.

I’m planning to install it on a separate SSD alongside Windows rather than replacing my current setup completely. My main GPU is an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT and I mostly game through Steam, with some Battle.net stuff here and there too.

I already know about the anti-cheat situation with certain games, so I’m not really worried about that part. I’m more curious about how Linux gaming actually feels nowadays in real use.

Does it genuinely feel smooth and comfortable to game on day to day, or does it still feel like you’re constantly “working around” Linux compared to Windows?

Would especially love to hear from people with AMD GPUs or anyone using Nobara as an actual daily system rather than just testing it for a weekend.

Is it normal for a music player to only play files from /home/user/Music directory?

I have downloaded Tambourine Music Player because it looks gorgerous, but I am unable to play any .mp3 files I have in different folders. I can't set it as a default app, because .mp3 files in other directories would be set to launch Tambourine as well, and it just shows a blank page.

My system keeps booting up to a blank screen

I'm new to Linux and have just installed nobora on my HP laptop and the installation process went properly. I started moving all my things back into the laptop but then after I shut it down and booted it up again it only loads to this blank screen with no cursor just a space to type.

I've searched up different solutions but nothing seems to be helping. I even reinstalled the system started using it properly but then it happened again.

Does anyone have any solutions to this?

My minegrub theme is not applied even after i used mkgrub

I wanted to use the minegrub select theme and i followed the installation properly…i applied the patches and used the mkgrub update grub command required and yet i still see the normal theme. Is there a fix or something that i missed entirely?
