The monster of Bikini Bottom, Cronin-Bob

Finished him late last night. This sculpt was pretty fun and one of my first large models. It's a weird one for sure, but I'm pretty proud of it.

He's sliced up and ready for printing. I made the bottle to where you could print it in clear resin and be able to insert the recipe and cork inside afterwards.

Cheers.

Working on my first cutesy model--curious how to make eyelids for dot eyes?

I adore dot eyes for cute things, but I wonder if it works better for 2D than 3D animation? How does one rig eyelids for dot eyes so they can be expressive? Cos it seems that mainly eyelids don't show with dot eyes UNLESS the artist is showing some expression.

Anyone here have some experience with dot eyes in 3D modeling animation?

In other news, working on this strawberry, which is the first cutesy model I've ever done for the first cutesy story I've ever written. The reference image is not mine, I found it on the internet, but it gave me confidence to flip the berry upside down and learn how fabulously dumpy strawberries are! The cutest form.

All the tutorials I found on strawberries used the sphere and then shaped, but it's so much easier with the Laithe tool, so I suggest that instead.

Most tedious part so far: the seeds for sure. You'll notice how many are sticking out and others are buried. Just took some finesse on the inflate-sub to work that out. Then getting this slime to a shape I liked (a lot of experimenting videos I did not include in my time lapse).

I'm working on getting in the rest of the leaves now that I have my feet leaves more or less shaped and sized. After that its all details and textures and painting... but yeah, I really gotta figure out how I want to deal with this little berry's eyelids! Give me your tips!

Hi I’m a beginner and I really need some advice!🙌

So I was sculpting a superhero character and have this problem with the mask. Is there any effective ways to create the mask that covers half of the face like that ?

I tried joined 2 cylinder and drag/move it around symmetrically but it seems not to create a form I want. (And the look from side view is hideous )

So Thank you in advance and will appreciate every advice!!!!🙌🙌😸😸😸

Filament 3D print from local library…modeled in Nomad…

I lost the little rudder wheel in the back, but otherwise I think I’m learning so much about removing the supports (should have taken a ‘before removal’ photo) but I’m amazed!

Now I have to soften the surface (to prep it for a silicone mold) …any suggestions? I have a small container of wood putty, but it says ‘non-hardening’. I have apoxy sculpt so maybe that and a small putty knife, it can fill in the ridges…

Discovering painting

After sculpting some portraits for a few weeks without colorize anything, my new challenge is now painting what I sculpt, in a realistic or let's say semi-realistic style. I am still a noob in sculpting and I design characters with exaggerated features. Painting is a new skill to learn but I enjoy the process! Next step will be creating alpha brushes to simulate skin textures and add some details to my work. Wish le luck!

Turning hand placed scales into a texture? Should I redo them directly on the body? Nomad to blender.

I am working on my first nomad project. I was hoping to keep it as a static sculpt but I am increasingly tempted to make it animatable. I have used curves to place my hand sculpted scales, would these being geometry make it impossible to project this texture onto a low poly mesh? If I am cooked in this regard I will just pose the model and keep it static. Thanks y’all! just making sure before I confirm my curves.

Other feedback on the sculpt would also be appreciated! Thank you!
