I'm interested in what you think about making the streets outside schools safer and less stressful by closing them to cars during the beginning and end of the school day.

You can read more about the idea here:

Hosting a black tie event in Norwich

Hello!!!

I was wondering if anyone could share some ideas for places to host a black tie dinner event (preferably in norwich, but also nearby might work) - for early december 2026 (I understand . In a perfect world the event would have:

- capactiy for 60+ people

- sit down dinner

- hopefully availibility on a saturday or friday without breaking the bank as most of the attendees will be students

Please let me know if you've had any experience with any of this and just to note, we have enquired about the Assembly house but their prices are unfortunately too high for us to host it there on a Friday or Saturday. I was thinking along the lines of maybe reaching out to pubs too. Thank you!!!

Best beach with flatish access

We have our elderly in laws visiting this weekend. I'd love to take them to a beach but my usual favourites (Happisburgh, Mundsley) won't be good for MIL as her mobility with steepish slopes isn't good. I can only think of Yarmouth as one that doesn't have a steep slope to get near, are there any gems I'm missing? If beaches won't work any nice rivers/broads where we can drive to get an ice cream?

F24 just moved to Norwich, where do girls in their 20s make friends here? 🥹

Hi!! I recently moved to Norwich and I’m trying to put myself out there a bit more and meet new people around my age ☺️

I play pickleball (still beginner/intermediate level) and was wondering if there are any open play sessions or friendly groups around here? I’d love to start playing more regularly and meet people through it too.

Also open to any recommendations for cute/social things to do in Norwich because I’m still exploring the city and figuring everything out haha. I’m into cafes, brunch, walks, fitness classes, booktok books, and just chill wholesome vibes in general 🫶

Would genuinely appreciate any suggestions!!

Chill Poker Night?

Was wondering if anyone knew of any chill poker nights in Norwich that were social/fairly low stakes? I know there’s nuts poker but they often go on quite late. Or would anyone be interested in setting a game up?

Are there any cafes that do mille feuille?

So for years the tradition for my birthday has been getting mille feuille from Patisserie Valerie, obviously not an option anymore. Are there any cafes in Norwich that serve it?

Opera in The Lanes

She made beautiful arias, but Jesus's sainted underpants, it was loud.
