Is the version of Luv(Sic) Part 3 on the hexalogy a different take of it?

Whenever I listen to Luv(sic) part 3, I normally listen to the version on the hexalogy just because of the extra verse, but today I listened to the Modal Soul version and Shing02 sounds completely different, is it a different take or am I tripping?

Luv (sic) first tattoo

I got my first tattoo just about a month ago as a commemorative piece for Nujabes. It’s hard to explain the significance to people who don’t know of him but his music has really inspired me of the last few years. I had a hard time in general with my first year or university ( work, school etc etc. I just kind of felt on my own the whole time). Listening to his music honestly gave me a purpose lol. I know it’s a common tattoo but I wish to get the metamorphosis art as a filler around my arm. Really happy with how it turned out🙂

This sub saved me. Perhaps this is a message in a bottle but even if you don't remember me, I will never forget you.

It may be hard to understand, but you guys changed my life. Years ago I posted some beats here that got some weekly/monthly top rankings, they were not the most amazing tracks ever but this community showed me something I had never experienced in my life which was appreciation and acknowledgment.

Up until that point in my life I quite literally had never had any positive feedback for anything I was interested in. My family, until this day, has always maintained and treated me like I am a thug degenerate piece of shit.

You may not know what it takes to become a person that the people who are supposed to know you best think you can't be, but I did it. I FUCKING DID IT.

Despite what my mother, father, brother, sisters and family told me my whole life. I became the person I always wanted to be.

This sub contributed more to my self esteem than any person in my family. This may sound low key weak and whiny but I need to give credit where credit is due. Growing up, nobody believed in me. Now? I am globetrotting, ++income and loving my life.

This may not be 100% because of this sub but it is at least 25%.

When I first posted my tracks here I thought I would get downvoted into oblivion 10 years ago because I had no self esteem. Yes, I wasn't popularized into stardom but I never wanted that and I didn't even need that. I just needed someone to tell me "This is good" and you guys did that.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I am truly living an amazing life right now and I will always thank this sub for giving me a boost of confidence that I so dearly needed when I was low to get me here. Without that initial motion, I may have stayed exactly where I was before. It's hard to imagine now that I'm so far away from it, but every avalanche starts with a single flake of snow.

Yes of course, that boost didn't take me to exactly where I am today but credit is due where credit is due.

Does anyone listen to the artist Hai Le?

I have been listening to him since January 2023, and I love all his tracks. This artist has created tracks in tribute to Nujabes.

I love all his music (yes, really), but if I had to choose one, it would be either "Mokuren" or "Mid Blossom".

I listen to him on the Deezer app, and there is a total of 13 tracks on it.

If you like Nujabes, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy at least one track by Hai Le.

What is your favorite Nujabes album?

I personally include first and second collection in this btw. This choice was a tough one for me. Luv(sic) is a 10/10 in my opinion but then modal soul is also goated. Then metaphorical music has absolute bangers like F.I.L.O. Honestly though after everything is said and done, any of them could be my favorite but I think spiritual state takes the cake here.

Me and my friend ranked all the Nujabes songs along with Melodica!

I guess to give some context, me and my friend made a tier list before this while we were procrastinating on our school work, however the tierlist we used only had luv sic, metaphorical music and modal soul. A year later we decided to redo it and it's the one you currently see now! Me and my friend started this at around 7 PM and were done at around 1:30 AM. It was a very long task. We took from a pre-existing tierlist but had to make the majority of the images for each song ourselves.

If you try to look for a consistent logic within the ranking it might be hard because very few of these we unanimously agreed on so we had to compromise on a lot of them. Some of the placements of these songs I don't like but that's how it goes when you make a tier list with a friend lol.

We were also very harsh on these because we didn't them all to be in S and A (even now the majority are still in those tiers, guess it's testament to how good his music is).

pretty bummed out to realize none of his songs are in forza, but you know i had to make some kind of tribute in the way i can.
