OBD11 subscription for battery adaptation

(UPDATE; OBD11 app lied, only needed the pro account) Replaced the battery this morning in my mk7 with an AGM unit, went to do the adaptation and OBD11 says for a battery adaptation it requires the ultimate subscription for 240$. I also read in their website you can do it with just the pro subscription which is substantially cheaper. Does anyone know if this is the case or any better way to go about it? I already got all the lights to clear by just turning the steering wheel lock to lock but just trying to do the adaptation for general purpose. Thanks!

Wireless Apple Carplay with OBDEleven

Hi everybody, I have a Skoda Fabia IV with the Bolero infotainment, it has a wired SmartLink functionality which enables Apple CarPlay with the USB cable. I tried to code the wireless function with OBDEleven but I can’t get it to work. I’ve tried with the hood opened, engine running or just the ignition On, restarted the system. Nothing seems to work. Considering that it has a MIB3 system I’ve tried following instructions from other VAG cars. The phone detects the wireless Carplay, the prompt “Connect” shows up, and on the screen “Activate WLAN” message appears. I will leave the changes I’ve applied. Still nothing. I’ll attach the changes that I’ve applied. (In the screenshot isn’t shown the change of WLAN which was turned on).

VW MK8 GTI SE 2022 (US) – Dynamic front turn signals

Hey, hoping someone with hands-on experience can help.

I have a 2022 GTI SE (US spec) with IQ Light Matrix LED. I’m trying to get dynamic/sequential front turn signals working but I’m stuck.
In Module 09 → Dynamic turn signal control, all the usual channels are already active from factory :
• Richtungs_blinken_links / _rechts
• ZV_Blinken_zu / _auf
• Warnblinken_Zuendung_EIN / _AUS
• Dynamische_Blink_Delay at 50 ms (tried 150 ms too)
But visually nothing happens, just a regular on/off blink. No sweep at all.
I also looked at Module 4B (Adaptive light functions = active, bit pattern segments all Off) but couldn’t find a clear Wischblinker or Sweep channel anywhere.

My questions :
1. Anyone on a US 2022+ GTI actually got the front sweep working ? Like, visible on the headlights, not just channels set ?
2. If yes, what did you do exactly ?
3. Is this maybe a dataset-level thing that needs VCP rather than OBDeleven ?

Genuinely asking because I can’t tell if I’m missing a channel somewhere or if it’s just impossible on US spec without modifying the BCM dataset. Any pointers appreciated 🙏
I’ve seen some post on forums but nothing really matching with what I got on OBD11

Just found the coding list for MK8 Golf, how do you access those settings?

Just found this list on this subreddit, but I couldn't find a way to actually change those settings even after playing with the app for good 30 min, for example I'm trying to enable setting 1.1.4 which is the automatic reduction of heated seats after a certain time, I am able to find Control 8, then I see a list of menus, Long Coding and Adaptation, I tried to look into both of these but couldn't find anything with the name "Seat_Heating_Level_Adaptation: [ID: OD1E]"

How can I find this to adjust it, I also tried it with the fan level adjustment (1.1.6) but can't find anything related to it.

AGM Battery, is it Binary-AGM or Fleece?

Looking to get an EverStart car battery from Walmart for my MK8 Golf GTI, here are the specs:

  • Brand: EverStart
  • Model: AGM-H6
  • Automotive battery type: Lead Acid (Non-Spillable)
  • Cold crank amp: 760 CCA
  • Bci group number: 48
  • Reserve capacity: 120 min

Now it does obviously say AGM on the label, but I read that Binary-AGM is for a specific type of AGM that has a different construction to the battery itself.

I'm leaning more towards selecting Fleece in my OBDeleven but I don't wanna be wrong and decrease the life of my battery.

Any confirmation, with explanation if possible, would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Also, is it okay if I run the car on the new battery for a few days before my OBDeleven arrives in the mail? Then program it later? Or should I leave my car parked until I have the device?

Changing Fender Audio to High Level Output for Helix DSP

As title says. I’m trying to use OBDeleven to change from MOST to the fender amp over to high level out of the stock headunit. I’ve already done all the wiring and added the 8 pin plug to the back of the stock head unit have currently changed

Byte 04 = FF (channels 1-4 marked as installed)
Byte 11 = 01 (sound_system_internal)

And I DO get audio down those wires but it reads as low level and not high level.
With a true RMS meter measuring ACV I only get up to 2.2V. I confirmed this also with an oscilloscope that reads VRMS is only reaching 1.6V

I have this feeding into my high level on the Helix and It just doesn’t get as loud as I think it should. I also notice the volume peaks at 2/3rd volume and then stays flat up to max. What am I missing here? This has held up my whole day lol!
