Anyone not using their book voucher? I’ll pay for it.

If anyone didn’t end up needing books this spring and is expecting $130-150 of leftover useless credit, instead of buying notebooks and drinks I’ll pay you a percentage of that. I need a chemistry course code envelope ✉️ they sell for $130-150. I’m thinking I’ll pay 50% of that in cash if someone buys it for me.

Exchange will be in person.

Radiology program process?

I’ve been seeing a lot of stuff for the OCC radiology program, and I genuinely want to change my career path. But before I do, I want to know what the process of being in it is like, specifically the clinical hours.

How are the clinical hours scheduled, and how much is typically scheduled? I’m aware they’re unpaid. How do people balance their job with the program?

And finally, how difficult/easy is it to get a job after the program in that field?

Thank you :)

How hard is RADT100? - Taking it in Fall 2026

Looking to get more info about this class, I'm taking it in the fall, and I don't want to fail 😭. Is the teacher hard? Does she teach well? If you are a tutor or anyone else taking this class, please reach out to me! Carla Cook is the teacher. (Looking at the RMP reviews, it doesn't look too good)

Counselor appointment impossible

The fact that I have to refresh a page like I’m trying to get concert tickets just to speak to a counselor is fucking ridiculous. I’m trying to get my academic renewal and for the life of me. I can’t get a fucking appointment with my counselor. What’s the point of having them?

OCC Meal Plan Worth It?

Are the OCC Meal Plans worth it? I don't really plan on using GrubHub, guest meal exchanges, or the flex dining dollars, I just want to eat in the cafeteria on campus like once or twice a day Monday through Thursday. Is it better if I just get the Pirate Bucks so they don't expire from semester to semester?

Edit: After doing some math, it looks like the Gold meal plan seems cheaper if my average meal costs around 13$ and I eat once a day throughout a semester, though I would still like to hear opinions from actual people

Scholarship Disbursement

Is anyone still waiting on their scholarship to be disbursed? Last year was so different for me and this year I feel like it keeps being delayed. I’ve heard 4 to 6 weeks after receiving my documents needed and also mid August and that I’m in the next batch, but here we are about to be mid August come Saturday and still nothing.

Scholarship Office Still won’t answer

This is so crazy. I keep trying to reach the scholarship office and it’s like they are ignoring the phone calls because it rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I was told mid month for my scholarship and still nothing and I heard they were being delayed, although some already received theirs, but I can’t even reach them to ask and they don’t answer the emails very often either. CSU as well as other universities are having a field day with financial aid thanks to Trump SMH so that’s all delayed as well. I literally have nothing to start school with and it’s a week away.

Number 75 on waitlist for Anatomy/Physiology. Do I have a chance at all?

Hi guys. I am new to OCC (Going back to college after 15 years for the SLPA program!) and I need a refresher on waitlists. I am currently at #75 for Jill Parsell + Sally Ahad's Biology A221. Do I have any chance at all of getting in, even if I show up to class on the first day?

Also, any advice, wisdom or warnings about the following classes and professors is much appreciated:

- The aforementioned class that I probably have no chance of getting into :)

-Medical Terminology w Guido Sendowski

-Principles and Practices of Teaching with Jenny Chaiyakal

Thank you!

Jaime

Hey all! I recently built a a workout tracking app called Fortis: Workout Log & Tracker and am looking for Cincinnati students to try it out and give me honest feedback. It's kind of like Strava but for the gym. You can log workouts, track progress over time, build custom exercises and templates, and share progress with friends on the app.

Still early but I think it's genuinely useful if you're trying to stay consistent.

Free on iOS and Android. Would love any feedback, good or bad, if you give it a shot.

Any OCC students need a free dental cleaning?

Hi everyone! 😊 I’m a dental hygiene student in Garden Grove and I’m currently looking for patients to help me complete my clinical requirements.

If you’re due for a cleaning and don’t mind helping out a student, I’d really appreciate it! 🤍

✨ A few details: • Dental cleanings are FREE • All ages are welcome • Care is provided under the supervision of licensed dental professionals • Appointments are longer than a typical dental visit because this is a teaching clinic • Multiple appointments may be needed depending on your individual needs • 🎁 Thank-you gift card after completing your appointments!

double major

i feel like i need clarification on how being a double major to transfer works?
am i supposed to make two separate applications to occ w two separate majors or do the requirements for each major (while officially only having one) and eventually submit a grad petition for both majors??

(i prob should just call the counseling department but i just had a bad experience with them and am trying to avoid interacting lol)
if you’re working towards two degrees, how did u go about this? ty!!!
