Hi everyone!
My sister and I are going to NYC.
We’re staying in Manhattan.
We plan on taking 5 trips on the subway.
Coney Island (to and from) = 2 trips
Hotel to Times Square = 1 trip
Times Square to Union Station = 1 trip
Union Station to hotel = 1 trip

I was gonna get an 2 OMNY cards and put $15 cash on each card.
Can I buy them at CVS/WALLGREENS/DUANE READE and load the money on at the store or should I use a machine in the subway station?

I really want to avoid using my credit card.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok so I have half fair and I used the card from.monday to Saturday I did not use it Sunday as I didn't need to go out but it said I had reached the cap I went to use it 2x today 1 on the bus and the card kept saying tap again driver let me pass on my way back I took the train and I went to go check if the cap went through, it didn't it charged the card instead. Is it because I didn't use it immediately the day after the 7day cap? I don't use it on the 7th day since it's a day off for me I don't need to go anywhere. Please someone make sense of this. What I understood was 7 days after it was used the next week is free even if I didn't use it for 1 day according to google (can't find the tab anymore since I closed it -.-)

I can not make an account. Nothing is working. I keep getting server error issue.

This is ridiculous. If you guys are gonna scam us with bs system, at make it work..Jesus..

Now I can't see my balance, I can't make an account.. customer service is useless.

I need help making an account and everyone is clueless.

After first encountering this at my home station, I keep running into the same issue at others: when I try to tap with my OMNY card, the reader has a delayed blue then white flash, then it shows a red “Tap Again” or “Try Again” screen. I have tried to document this anomaly by filming it to send in a report, but I’m often in a hurry, and other commuters are frequently behind me, waiting.

I just tried the “tap 5 times” trick, but after the fourth tap, the transaction was able to go through. When this happened the other day, I reported it to the station agent, who did not seem to know what to do. Should I report this issue via the OMNY site, even if I didn’t get corroborating evidence? It’s a huge nuisance.

Hi all, I've been stopping by the office for a while, and I will be leaving NYC in the next two months. Looking to sell my commuter balance. Preferably meet at Flushing Main Street Station. I DO NOT have an OMNY card. I have a debit card with a $600 balance in it, which I can use to charge up your own card so you don't have to worry about the report loss or anything. Please DM me if you are interested. Price negotiable, if you don't want to buy the whole thing, I can also just charge you the amount you preferred.

I am the owner of the card. I can show you the ride history throughout the year. Once again, I've stopped going to the office, but I forgot to stop contributing, that's why I have so much balance on it

So I am headed on the 7 train and just loaded 3$ on my card for the fare and it kept coming up as card not accepted. This keeps happening to me everywhere even buses and I am wondering why. I saw something online about an unpaid fare block but how would I even have that it doesn’t make sense.

Yesterday I brought a new OMNY card around 8:24pm at a grocery store because I lost the one I currently have. I tried adding it to my wallet where it says "Add travel card" on the OMNY website. Well, it keeps saying "card cannot be found"

Is this a problem? I really do not want to buy another card again. My debit card won't work when I use tap and go because it says "card not accepted" when I go on the bus and try to use it.

Is anyone else having this problem? Auto reload worked fine and now stopped citing "unknown error". Tried using new card, tried new amounts. Nothing. Any suggestions?
